🧵 Over the past 41 years, more than 7,100 quilts have been donated to the Quilt Auction, raising over $2.2 million for ministry.

But the true story isn’t in the numbers.

It’s in every fabric choice, every carefully stitched seam, every prayer offered over a quilt destined for someone else. It’s in the quilters who gather with friends, share memories of camp, and generously give their time and talents so others can experience God’s love.

What began as a fundraiser has become a cherished tradition that helps make camp, retreats, and faith-forming experiences possible for thousands of people each year.

To every quilter who has shared their gifts with Water’s Edge Ministries: thank you for helping make this tradition what it is today. Your generosity continues to create spaces where lives are changed and faith grows. 🤍

🎨 Looking for a hands-on activity at the Quilt Auction?

Join us to paint your own Barn Quilt Coasters while enjoying all the Quilt Auction has to offer! Spend the day browsing more than 200 quilts, relaxing by Green Lake, sharing a meal with friends, and creating something beautiful to take home.

There's no cost to join, but free will donations are appreciated. Supplies are available while they last, so stop by and get creative!

🙌 Volunteers make the Quilt Auction possible!

From welcoming guests to helping behind the scenes, volunteers are an important part of making this weekend run smoothly and have a lot of fun along the way.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available on both Friday and Saturday, including:

🎟️ Selling Quilt Review and meal tickets
🧵 Hosting in the Silent Auction area, Quilt Room, or Makers Market
🚗 Driving golf carts between parking areas
👋 Greeting and directing guests
🍽️ Clearing and busing tables
✨ And so much more!

Looking for a service project? This is a wonderful opportunity for a family, congregation, small group, workplace team, or group of friends to serve together.

Summer is finding its rhythm across Water’s Edge Ministries. From campfires and Day Camps to service sites and retreats, God is creating opportunities for connection, growth, and belonging.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s happening this week:
🏕️ Summer Youth Camp at Shores of St. Andrew Bible Camp
🌲 Ordinary Time at Camp House
🖤 Serve Boldly in San Diego, CA, St. Louis, MO, Nashville, TN, Milwaukee, WI, and Chicago, IL
⛪ Day Camps in Madelia, MN and Cambridge, MN
🎶 Worship at the Lake with local congregations
🏡 Retreats at Green Lake Bible Camp and Shores of St. Andrew

As you pray this week, remember the staff serving across Water’s Edge Ministries. Pray for the camp staff, guides, leaders, support staff, and year-round staff who are pouring their energy, gifts, and faith into ministry each day.May they be encouraged in moments of challenge, strengthened through meaningful relationships, and reminded that God is working through them in ways both seen and unseen.

The Quilt Auction is just around the corner, and we’re looking for donations to help round out this year’s Silent Auction. Whether you’re crafty, creative, or simply generous, there’s a place for your contribution!

Consider donating:

🍪 Baked goods or specialty treats
🎟️ Event tickets or experiences
✨ Something unique from your hobby or business

Are you a Thrivent Financial member? A Thrivent Action Team Grant is a great way to fund a basket or project for the Silent Auction! Donations are requested by Wednesday, July 15, so there’s still loads of time to put something together.

A quick update for everyone attending Gather in Gratitude at Green Lake Bible Camp tonight!

Due to the weather and for everyone’s comfort, all activities will be held indoors. 🍽️ The meal will be served at the Chrysalis House. 🙏 Worship will take place in the chapel.

Whether you’re someone who loves leading youth, building community, or creating welcoming experiences through hospitality, we’d love to connect with you.

Serve Boldly is the kind of experience that stays with you. You’ll work alongside passionate staff, partner with local organizations, support youth as they serve, and witness God at work in meaningful ways throughout the week.

We’re currently hiring:
🖤 1 Guide (July 12–17)
🖤 1 Food Service Coordinator (3 evenings per week)

We’re looking for people who:
🖤 love people
🖤 can lead with flexibility and heart
🖤 enjoy meaningful work
🖤 are excited about faith, service, and community

Guide positions include housing, travel, food, training, and $600+/week.
