St. Peter's Presbyterian Church Join us for worship at 10:00am on Sundays. Church office open Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 am - Accessible to variously-abled individuals. St. Today St.

"Called to be a compassionate community - intentionally inclusive, openly searching, joyfully serving, in the way of Jesus Christ." Peter's is a progressive, country church - firmly rooted in its local community and rural context; and deeply concerned with issues of peace and social justice. We are a More Light church. Organized in 1760 , St. Peter's has been at the hub and heart of Spencertown fo

r well over two centuries. Peter's is a strong, inclusive and vibrant church - resolute in its commitment to service, tireless in its pursuit of truth, and determined to extend the radical welcome and love of Jesus Christ. We are a theologically, politically, socio-economically, and culturally diverse community. We are young and old. We are rich and poor. We are Republican and Democrat. We are farmers, bankers, artists, psychologists, craftspeople, teachers, childcare providers, social workers, homemakers and grandparents. Some of us have been here for generations, others are brand new. The paths which have brought us here are many and varied, but God has called us all together, and our lives are richer because of it. The doors of our beautiful, historic building are literally always open, and that is no accident. You are welcome here.
