Good morning all y'all! Our first Monday Mental Health Moment Movement (walk!) has happened. A beautiful morning, movement, noticing, conversation, and a prayer too. We talked a bit about the hardness of life (it is a reality even if/when things are going really well!), wanting greater capacity & willingness for us all to hold the hard & move through it -- to be able to name/mention things -- we even discussed how Mr. Rogers said everything is mentionable -- and if it is mentoonable then it is manageable. We reflected on the recent deaths in our community and talked about su***de and how hard su***de is for all people (it touches everyone). We ended in prayer....and so here's a prayer & some pics from this AM. God please bless us - all of Spencer & Van Etten & Candor too. Lord bless us totally our physical bodies & our mental health - give us strength, capacity, wisdom. Bless us with caring communities. God encourage each of us where we are. Bless our sleep, our food, our work, our relationships, and the fullness of our lives - remind each of us we are not alone - You are with us and You love us. In Jesus' Name - Amen.

An extra Sunday posting...a worthwhile read (engaging today's scripture) & talking about the reality of love.

Psalm 119:34: “Give me understanding that I may keep your law with my whole heart.” For more than a decade, I’ve wanted to make Russian Orthodox saint Maria Skobtsova every bit as much a household name as Dorothy Day. There’s a fire in her story that I feel could burn through our contemporar...

LOUISVILLE — Walking a portion of the Camino de Santiago — together with all the time she spent walking in West Africa while serving in the Peace Corps — led the Rev. Kimberly Knowle-Zeller to write “Small Steps: Blessings to Lift Your Soul on the Pilgrimage of Life.”

Tomorrow is the day...an ecumenical feast of Creation in Christ!

Next Tuesday is a remarkable day, the newly declared ecumenical Feast of Creation in Christ. I thought, should I take a break from my series on grief to write about how excited I am that Christians all over the world see the creation as central to their spirituality? No. God’s creation plays an im...

“My hope is just to create a sense of community,” cohost Jenny Mandl tells TODAY.com. “We hope everybody leaves with a new friend.”

This is beautiful -- both taking time to consider & then finding a way to help.
