TO ANYONE STILL NEEDING TO TAKE PHOTOS FOR THE PARISH DIRECTORY: The website link is live for Monday, September 21st from 2-8:30pm. It will be first come, first serve for time slots. If you have a flexible schedule at all, and could do a time in the afternoon, please help those who HAVE to wait until evening. We are thankful they could give us one more day of photography to catch people who were gone or busy last weekend. Thank you!

Opening Mass and Registration TONIGHT!
All parents and students, please attend church tonight at 7 pm to kick off our religion year.

🔵 2nd-12th grade registration will happen in the Oak Room after Mass. ($25 registration fee per student)

🟡Parents of 3-year-olds through 1st Graders: stay at the church for a meeting about the new Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program.
This will be an opportunity to learn more about it and how it will look different compared to classroom-style religion classes. You’ll have the chance to sign up for sessions and volunteer opportunities. Registration for CGS will be finalized before sessions begin in October.

Our religious education program is in the works! In his last week in Spearville, Fr. John will pray our opening Mass for the religion year on Wednesday, August 26th at 7 PM. This Mass is for parents, kids, and any parishioners who would like to join us and pray for a successful religion year.

After Mass, the Youth Committee will have treats for the kids at the Parish Center, and we ask parents to update contact information and pay registration ($25 per child). Any new families in town? Let us know you're here if you want to sign up any students for religion classes!

*Parents of any 3-year-olds up to 1st graders: we are implementing a new program called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, and there will be a brief information meeting about that after Mass at the church. Come see what it's about and how religion might look a little different this year for those youngest kiddos!

Please note all these special times and events for the next week, starting with Adoration tonight and the changed Mass time tomorrow! These changes are all in addition to the regularly-scheduled daily Masses at Parkview and Southwind, which will remain the same.

Help us end the week next Saturday, commemorating the Passion of St. John the Baptist, our Patron Saint! After the 6:30 Mass, we'll gather at the Parish Center for a snack potluck, yard games, firepits & s'mores, and time with Fr. John before he prays his last Mass Sunday morning and travels home to Ghana. We hope the whole parish will come out to celebrate his time with us.

Our Novena starts today!!
If you can't join us at adoration tonight to begin, pray on your own, and pray these prayers for the next nine days until August 29th - the Memorial of the Passion of St. John the Baptist.
Please especially pray for our parish during this time of transition, for whomever will take over as our priest, and of course, for Fr. John as he spends his last few days with us and journeys back home to Ghana. 🙏

Tomorrow at this time, we’ll be gathering in prayer outside the church. Come join us and pray for the many needs of our parish, community, surrounding communities, and all the intentions only Jesus can carry. 🙏🏼❤️

🙏As a parish, we'll be starting the St. John the Baptist Novena on August 21st and praying for our parish each of the nine days until August 29th - the Memorial of the Passion of St. John the Baptist.

🙏Join us to begin this novena in fellowship together in the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament! Outdoor adoration will begin at 8:30 pm on the south side of the church and Fr. John will be available for confessions inside the church as well.

✨Bring your lawn chairs! Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we'll get a beautiful evening to watch the stars come out.
