CLARKSTON, Ga. (BP) – There are different ways Christians can help refugees adjust to America, but they all tend to revolve around the subject of availability.

We had a great time to get away this week for our “end of summer” retreat for our summer missionaries and summer ministry staff/leaders(almost 40 folks) from CiBC in the beautiful Georgia mountains. Really grateful for our friends at Macedonia Baptist Church that let us “crash” their fellowship hall for our meals, fellowship, and storm shelter. Please pray for continued fruit as these folks head back to school/colleges and as our summer ministry at Clarkston International Bible Church comes to a close.

So grateful to Brian Puckett, Kevin Stout & their leadership at Central Baptist (Warner Robbins) to partner with us as we expand, grow and develop new short-term mission team housing with nearby partner churches. They’ve had teams here in varying capacities the last couple of weeks as we get closer to the finish line with this space. Grateful to host the Refugee Highway Partnership of North America’s Southeast Regional Conference today at CiBC. So glad a refugee turned missionary to refugees, my (Jason Lee) co-laborer, Pastor Samuel Rai could share and lead.

We are excited to announce the Acts 17 Initiative is hosting the Refugee Highway Partnership of North American's Southeast Roundtable Conference at Clarkston International Bible Church in northeast Atlanta, Georgia on 3/22-3/23/24. Please note the attached "Save the Date(3/22-3/23)" promo and take a couple of minutes to read and answer the "pre-registration" form here:

We’re inviting Jesus-following folks who are interested or experienced in working with refugees and asylum seekers, as well as those who have experienced forced migration to join us. People representing churches, ministries, resettlement agencies, and grassroots practitioners from all over the southeast US are welcome to attend. We look forward to sharing and posting the official registration information soon. Please share and spread the word about this event in your network and let us know about questions you may have.

What an encouraging time we had hosting our friends from Lakeview Baptist Church for an “ENGAGE the Nations Here” missions weekend where they got a immersive experience seeing how we are string to faithfully minister the Gospel to the 90+ Unreached People Groups in northeast metro Atlanta. (taken from another post): We had the highest number of pre-registrations ever for our Youth Apologetics Conference! Please be praying for the 100+ youth that are at CIBC right now as they grow in faith, as well as the leaders teaching and facilitating—…..To God be the Glory!

It was quite a treat to recently welcome Pastor Brian Lee Spearman & Chandler Moats for a 4 hour vision trip w/ Clarkston International Bible Church! They are praying about how they can partner with us to reach the nations with the Gospel here in NE Atlanta and with their neighbors at First Baptist of Marietta (outside of Greenville, SC). We would love to talk to you about joining us for a similar one-day vision opportunity with us.
