John's is a vibrant community of people who believe in Christ. As Lutherans, we believe that God has always loved us, that Jesus died and rose again for our sake, and that the Holy Spirit is active in the world now. We could not have experienced a more perfect day to worship at Hatcher Garden and Woodland Preserve. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this day so special.

Today was also a day of Thanksgiving for the Ministry of Martin Aigner and sending him forth with God’s blessing as he leaves his role as St. John’s Chancel Choir Director. He has enriched our congregation tremendously with his voice since the 1990s, as well as his choral leadership for 13 years.

What a beautiful night to get together and enjoy fellowship and great conversation! We talked about the difference in reading/knowing the Bible and actually putting the teachings of Jesus into action, where we see the Holy Spirit at work, as well as our favorite snacks (egg noodles and ketchup, anyone?).
