What goes into replacing one of our roofs?

We find the right combination of size and damage level for our two day work weekend. We want to make sure that we are able to complete the repairs in our two day timeframe

Once we have our homeowner selected, we measure and order materials.

During Santahatchie, the Team Captain leads their group in removing all of the shingles, repairing any wood and structural damage, placing ice and water shield in the valleys, replacing the shingles, and all finishing touches like the ridge cap, sealing boots and making sure the new roof is water tight! The site is cleaned up, all shingles and trash placed in the dumpster, and we roll a magnet around to get up all of the nails that may have fallen around.

Voila! Watertight to keep our homeowner safe and dry for years to come!

We are so excited for Santahatchie 2025!

Dates: Jan 1-3, 2026 (Thursday night orientation, Friday/Saturday work days)
Cost: $40 per person
Includes: 6 meals of the two works days
Who: anyone 14 and up! No experience necessary!!
