• Most churches led by a pastoral anointing only will focus the church around meeting the needs of the people. At The Promised Land, you will be encouraged to focus on God’s call and purpose for your life

.

• Pastoral church gifts love and feed the people; as a result, the people put on spiritual weight. Our ministry seeks to train people so they can put on spiritual muscle. You will be encouraged to live out your fullest potential and realize God’s will for your life.

• Pastors at most churches perform services for the people, whereas at The Promised Land, we encourage the performance of the believer. Members are taught to mature to take responsibility for their own lives and believe God for themselves.

• Pastors equip or train people to do the work of the church. At The Promised Land, you will be equipped to do the work of the ministry of Jesus beyond the four walls of the church (Mark 16:15-18). OUR PLAN
Our plan is to establish a format and system that will allow people to find and exercise their gifts by reaching out to others. You will learn later that we believe every member is called to be a minister. We believe that empowerment mentoring groups and ministry teams are the biblical plan of God to reach the harvest. These groups and ministry teams give every person a way to minister their gifts and develop other leaders and help new converts find connection. Through this format, new souls are brought into the kingdom of God and are discipled, as Jesus instructed.

We didn’t get here overnight.
The breakdown of the family didn’t happen in a moment—it happened generation by generation. Quietly. Gradually. Homes stopped showing what covenant looked like, children stopped seeing faith lived out, and leadership disappeared where it was meant to be modeled.
Now we ask why our young people are lost.
Why they’re searching everywhere but where truth is found.
But the real question is: who was meant to show them?
The family was God’s first institution.
Before the church.
Before government.
Before schools.
And when that order was disrupted, the damage didn’t stay in the home—it spread through every generation that followed.
This is the message I need you to hear today: the crisis we see in our streets, in our communities, and in our children didn’t start out there. It started in the home.
It’s not too late to rebuild—but we have to be honest about where restoration begins.
