We had such a great time celebrating our kids as they start a brand-new school year!
But at the same time, the reality is this . . .
We also know they’re growing up in a world that’s much different than the one we grew up in—a world that’s challenging, confusing, and increasingly difficult to navigate. They’ll face pressures, voices, influences, and decisions that many generations before them never had to face.
And yet . . .
Our kids don’t have to hide from the darkness around them!!! God has created them to shine His light right there in the midst of it! Greater is He who is in THEM than he who is in the world! (1 John 4:4)
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not—cannot—and will not overcome it. Ever.
We’re not just praying that they have a “good school year.” We’re continually praying God’s absolute best for them—that He would protect their hearts, order their steps, surround them with the right people, give them wisdom beyond their years, and help them stand confidently in who He created them to be.
Jesus said it this way: “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone sn**ch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to sn**ch them out of My Father's hand.” (John 10:28-29)
