When you make a gift to SonShine Club, you may never see exactly where your dollars go; you may not see the Friend who join us with a smile because they know they are coming to a place where they belong; you may not see the caregiver who gets five precious hours of respite to rest, run errands, spend time with another child, or simply breathe; you may not see the volunteer who discovers a friendship that changes their life; you may not see the Friend who hears the name of Jesus and learns, perhaps for the first time, “God loves me. I have a purpose. I belong.”
But .... your gift makes all of that possible, your generosity helps provide a safe place to gather, It helps put lunch on the table, it provides the supplies for crafts, games, fitness and activities, it helps create opportunities for friendships, worship, Bible study, community service and growth, and most importantly, your gift helps make sure that our Friends and their caregivers know they are not alone.
At SonShine Club, our mission is to shine the love of Jesus into the hearts and lives of adults with special needs and their caregivers, but we can't do that alone. Every donor becomes part of our story.
Your gift may feel like a small thing to you, but to a Friend, it can mean a Saturday filled with belonging. To a caregiver, it can mean a few hours of rest. To a volunteer, it can mean the opportunity to serve. And to someone searching for hope, it can mean hearing the life-changing message of Jesus.
