Matthew 28:20b
New King James Version -- Jesus speaking
"And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

What is dark, does not speak but follows you constantly? If you answered your shadow you would be correct 💯! You cannot shake it, you cannot outrun it, and it cannot answer you back if you need a good argument or cry.

But see, that's where Jesus is different! In the scripture above Jesus was telling the remaining 11 disciples He would be with them ALWAYS! He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5c)!

Romans 8:1
New King James Version
Free from Indwelling Sin
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

This morning, as I was listening to a sermon by Josh Howerton, I saw a vision of myself so covered and black with sin. I was crouched down crying and defeated totally! The devil had shadowed me with lies about myself (I'm fat, I'm a reject and a black sheep 🐑, I was never loved by anyone, I'm an addict and alcoholic, I'm anorexic and bulimic, and that no matter how many times I repent, God if still going to judge me very harshly when I die.
Then Jesus's hand, with the hole where the nail pierced it came in front of me. A beautiful brilliant light shone on me disintegrated all the blackness of sin and shame. I stood up and my face was red and soaked with tears. I heard a voice say, "It is FINISHED!" I smiled and the vision was over.

Saints when we surrendered our hearts and lives to Jesus, all the shame and guilt we carry disintegrates! Jesus' light is the strongest and will always win over the devil.

Do I still struggle... Of course! But I go back to this scripture and remind myself that no matter what my past is it doesn't define my present or future in Him. I am His and He is mines!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
New King James Version
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Ok I'm going to show my age here... But here it goes! I was watching an OLD episode of Sally Jessy Raphael (circa 80s 90s and GEN X'ERS) about "Babies having Babies." In one case the girl was 12 and PREGNANT!

I was shaking my head, but not shocked! You see, I went to Boyd H. Anderson High School between 1991-1995. That's when HIV and AIDS were a death sentence for someone as well as often times teenage pregnancy. Teens dropped out, became single parents (usually the moms), and had to get their GED (NO shade to those who have)! Their parents couldn't afford to raise the baby and work so the teen stayed home and was the parent. And most times when the parent got home the teen went to work. Dreams for some looked shattered! Babies having Babies!

Sure we had "resources" back then -- but that was the Dewey Decimal System, magazines, newspapers, and a whole lot of reading. NO GOOGLE! We did have a great peer counselor teacher with a plethora of knowledge Mr. Pisano.

Ok why do I say all of this? Because all of us, especially us women, need to respect, with dignity and pride of the Lord, the vessel of the Holy Spirit inside of us. We shouldn't pollute or dishonor it. If you have, you have this opportunity in this minute to tell Jesus you are sorry and repent!

Did you know that the number 40 appears over 150 times in the Bible? Here are some examples:

Noah's Ark: The rain fell for 40 days and 40 nights, cleansing the earth and bringing a fresh start (Genesis 7:12).

The Wilderness Wandering: The Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years, symbolizing a full generation being tested before entering the Promised Land (Numbers 14:33-34).

The Temptation of Jesus: Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights before beginning His public ministry (Matthew 4:1-11).

The Ascension: The time span between Jesus's resurrection and his ascension into heaven was 40 days (Acts 1:3).

In the Bible, the number 40 primarily symbolizes a period of testing, trial, probation, and preparation.
Maybe you are in a season where I had been longer than expected or longer than 40 days and you are just plum tired!
Maybe today you are in a trial and test and have been praying and feel like you cannot hear God l. Don't lose heart! Keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word! The devil will try to trip you up, get u weak, and make you forget it all! NOT SO! REMEMBER your God and His Son Jesus who saved you!

Remember this also.... The teacher is sometimes silent 🤫 during a test!

Matthew 10:16
New King James Version -- Jesus speaking to the disciples
16 “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless[
as doves."

My husband Jonathan G Krauss has a silly habit of listening to monotone stories on Facebook about life stories. In one he played, this morning, he played one where this man did a test on his "circle of friends" because they knew his financial status. He used wisdom in his intuition in the process and noticed his "friends " abandoned him, stopped texting and calling him. Also in the process a friend invited him to hang out, his girlfriend posed to cook at home instead of spending exuberant amounts of money on going out, and a king neighbor brought homemade meals with notes reading, "Hope you are doing okay!"

This man used wisdom and found the people he once called "friend" and shared his life that he meant to after all! Yes it hurt deeply, but the Bible says:
Psalm 34:17-18
New King James Version
17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
In the comfort, the man found love, friendship, and kindness of the unexpected!

Today take the backseat. Stand back and be silent in wisdom. Don't react in anger when you hear gossip or scuttle about you!! Instead turn your heel!
My mom always told me that an honorable soldier can turn their heels and whip around in one second with your head held high. So when you take a back seat notice or hear negativity about you, turn your heels 👠, whip around, hold your head held high -- and for goodness sake straighten that crown 👑!!!

1 Kings 19:11-13
New King James Version
God’s Revelation to Elijah
11 Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.
13 So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

This morning, as I was going outside from taking some medicine in my bedroom, I was passing the dining room table and I felt in my spirit to take some paper towels with me. So I came outside, went to sit down and my leg jiggled the table and splooshed my coffee I had everywhere!
So in the midst of cleaning it up I said, "TY Holy Spirit for quickening me to get some paper towels. Father You knew beforehand this was gonna happen!" And he said to me, "ALWAYS listen to my still, small voice!"

In the scripture above, Elijah was fleeing the evil Queen Jezebel after Elijah executed the prophets of Baal (the god of Ahab and Jezebel) (1 Kings chapter 18). She became enraged and sought to kill Elijah. The Father saw this and instructed Elijah to go to the top of the mountain. Suddenly an earthquake happens, but God was not IN the earthquake. Then a fire happens but God was not IN the fire. Then after the fire came His still small voice asking Elijah, "What are you doing here?"

When the enemy sees you praising, worshipping, praying, reading your Bible, and living out the Bible Satan will send an earthquake to shake up your life -- but remember, God is not in the earthquake. And if the earthquake doesn't shake you, Satan will send his fire to singe your life -- burning friendships family and friends relationships, change in attitude, burning employment, and most of all burning your relationship with God!

But when you stay attuned to His still small voice and allow God to be God in your life, you will conquer every trial and mountain in life with Father God at the helm! Remember in Philippians chapter 2 it says, " At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all!"

The Holy Spirit spoke this teaching to me this morning.

Matthew 6:22
New King James Version -- Jesus speaking
The Lamp of the Body
22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light."

When I was car shopping with my husband about a month ago, I remember one of the first things I did was look through the windows. I wanted to see what the seats, gear shifter (standard or automatic) was, and if the back seat and trunk were spacious enough.

In the above scripture, Jesus said: “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good (my references say that Jesus is saying good meaning clear or healthy), your whole body will be full of light" What Jesus was saying here is to guard what you allow eyes to see and watch on TV, social media, and the movies. Don't let your laxidaciouness of not caring what you expose your eyes cause you to sin. Satan has and will try daily to get you to sin! He will lure you to watch "corn (drop the c add a p)" and to watch sinful movies and TV shows that are NOT Godly in one sense. What you allow yourself to see will get planted by Satan himself in your mind for you to remember over and over again, become obsessed and then addicted, and end up in more sin that all began with "one little TV show and sinful movies!" Put on your helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:17a) to guard your mind!
Instead allow the light 🕯️ of Christ to shine through you because you HAVE guaranteed your mind by shielding your eyes from sinful things.
