Mt. Zion, Shiloh, Cox's Chapel, and Piney Creek United Methodist Churches are worshiping together this Sunday, August 30th, at 11:00 a.m. at Cox's Chapel (3747 River Bend Rd, Mouth of Wilson, VA 24363). Pastor Ben and Pastor Bailey will be preaching together, and we will share Communion. All are welcome at the Table.

There will be no separate services at Mt. Zion, Shiloh, or Piney Creek that morning, so come join us at Cox's Chapel.

Over the last several weeks we have been laying the groundwork along with our friends at Sparta UMC to bring our food ministries together under one umbrella so that collaboration, creativity, and sharing can take center stage as we serve our neighbors. When we are striving to serve our community like Jesus would, that means reducing the barriers between us so that we share God's love TOGETHER! Around this table today, we launched Nourishing Neighbors. A way for all five United Methodist Churches in Alleghany County to provide critical food and relational support to our neighbors. We are truly better together.

Every student at Piney Creek Elementary will start the year with the supplies they need! Over the past few weeks, the churches of New River Cooperative Parish gathered, sorted, and delivered supplies for every single child in the school.

We believe God calls us to love our neighbors in real and practical ways, and we are so grateful to be able to partner with Piney Creek School. Thanks be to God for every hand that helped and every gift that was given.
Here's to a new school year, Piney Creek. We're praying over your students, your teachers, and your families, and we're grateful to walk alongside you as neighbors!

We are celebrating the way folks from New River Cooperative parish have been serving our community throughout the month of May. Piney Creek UMC and Shiloh UMC have been packing and delivering food, and Mt. Zion UMC has been offering critical items through their non-food pantry!

Our Non-Food Pantry at Mt. Zion UMC will be open on Tuesday, May 12, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The Non-Food Pantry is open to everyone and provides household items that are becoming increasingly expensive, helping ease the financial burden for members of our community.
Free transportation from Sparta is available. Please contact Alleghany In Motion to be included in their route.

As we prepare for our Maundy Thursday service this afternoon at 3pm, we are so thankful for this beautiful loaf of bread that Rebecca Babbitt baked for us. It’s truly a work of art.

Shiloh UMC invites you to join us this Easter Sunday for worship and celebration. We will gather for a beautiful Easter service at 11:00 am, followed by an Easter egg hunt for children and families.

There will also be snacks and games provided, making it a meaningful and fun way to celebrate the joy of Easter together. We would love to have you with us.
