We will see everybody next week. Love you and miss you already.

Merry Christmas everybody and happy New Year!

This has been an interesting year, and not without its difficulties and trials that have come from losing our mom and the physical difficulties we all have been experiencing. We thank God for His grace and His mercy and the wonderful community of believers that surround us.

2016 offers a myriad of opportunities and challenges for us as believers, and how we meet those opportunities and face those challenges, will determine the kind of year we experience in 2016.

At this point, the year is absolutely open. The road stands before us, our journey awaits us, and we cannot wait to see what God has for us as we live an obedient yet vigorous life of the Christian, carrying the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to every person in our sphere of influence, every nook and cranny in our neighborhoods, and all around the globe as God leads.

We will continue our work with Man in the Mirror, and our Sunday evening Bible study as we move through the New Testament. We invite you to join us and become a part of what God is doing in our fellowship, in our work with men that need dicipling, and with building up the body of Christ in our spheres of influence.

God is so good and we love him so much, and we pray that 2016 will be an amazing year of great accomplishment in the body of Christ.

Love in Jesus Christ,

Jeff and Karen

Tonight was the first night of a Man in the Mirror book study that is being put on by Hilltop church, a church that is in the Carson City/Minden area. A gentleman there reached out to me earlier this year, and I set him up with a workbook, enough books for the group, and I attended their first meeting.
The first thing they asked me was, "how do we get some younger guys in here?" I had the same thought.

Hello All,

I thought I would let everyone know that I have decided to pursue a different track with Man in the Mirror that will allow me to step up my ability to work with churches at a quicker pace.
My duties will be similar, but I will have less responsibility, and I will continue to raise a budget that will cover expenses here at the office, and cover travel in this area and to Florida once or twice a year.
I will be called a Field Representative for this coalition, and in the future, if the Lord leads, I can move back in to the Area Director's chair. :)
Most of you know that while Karen and I took care of mom these last six or seven months, we suspended many of the things that we would normally do, including things pertaining to MIM. I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding, and for the massive prayer support that came our way. Mom is in heaven, she is happy, and she is rejoicing in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus.
I learned much in the last six months, particularly in the area of appreciation for the wonderful life that He has given me. Karen and I both feel called to continue to open our home to the folks that have been a part of our lives over the past decade and more. I will continue to teach the Bible regularly here, as we begin Matthew this coming Sunday.
Secondly, we will spent more time with family members that over the years have drifted apart. There are believers and non that we owe more allegiance than we have proffered.
Please continue to pray for us, and if you have an interest in studying Matthew, it is Sunday at 6pm.

I will send out a newsletter next week, and let everyone know what is coming next.

Love you all!

Please pray for Sonja, Karen's and my mom. She was admitted to the ER just a little bit ago excessive fluid retention and the wounds on her legs are infected. Love all of you thank you so much for your prayers!

I dislike New Year's Resolutions, but every year I want to do better in my walk with Jesus, and here we are again, trying to force ourselves via 'lists' to do what the empowering of the Holy Spirit should do. Even though lists can be productive, particularly when memory becomes a challenge, they can foster a spiritual pride that goes beyond the other side of "I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me."
At the most visceral level, in all of our weakness, we must seek HIS POWER, through the indwelling Holy Spirit, to accomplish these areas that we feel inclined by His Spirit, so that at the end of the day, we will not jump for joy proclaiming, "I did it!," but we will proclaim in abject humility, "He did it, He did it!"
When I though about this time of year, and the feeling of new beginning, I came up with five ill defined, nebulous areas I needed to do better in:

1. Pray more intently.
2. Read more regularly.
3. Connect more with those in my sphere of influence.
4. Expand my sphere of influence.
5. Precipitate good health.

In all of these areas of my life, I believe that God desires me to do better in. I would love to hear your comments, and suggestions regarding these, and in closing I will add this: We all have a sphere of influence that is by design, and not by happenstance; many participants of which are not followers of "the Way". You must ask yourself, why? God has connected us intentionally through blood, friendship, vocation, and spiritual fellowship (koinonia); not accidentally, but by design. I guess the grand question is WHY???

Love you all,

Jeff and Karen

Today is turning out to be an amazing day! We started our at 7:30am (yikes!) on a hangout with other Area Directors. We talked, and prayed together, heard from our Leader Patrick Morley, and Coach K.

I really had an opportunity to see the heart of our Coach and others on the call.

Praise God for everything that He has entrusted you with, and praise Him for the gift of His Son, Jesus!

Merry Christmas!!
