Stake Conference - This Weekend!
Stake conference will be June 4-5. Saturday from 4-5:30 is the ward and stake leadership session. The adult session will be from 7-8:30. Sunday from 10-12 is the general session. All sessions will be held at the stake center. There will not be simulcasts to any other building. We look forward to seeing you there.

We have a blood drive this Tuesday Nov. 2 from 2:00-7:00 PM at the center. Thanks to those who have already signed up. There are still a few spots open. Sign up is linked in story and in highlights. Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We want to remind you about our Stake Conference this weekend (Sunday from 10-11:30am) and provide you with the webcast link one more time. It is the same link you use to connect with your Ward Sacrament Meetings. Just look on the webcast list for the SPANISH FORK SOUTH STAKE CONFERENCE.

We would also like to ask you to do a few things in preparation for, and in conjunction with our conference:
1. Please plan to wear your Sunday-best clothes for the meeting, even though you'll be at home. This will add to the Spirit in your hearts and homes and will connect us even better as a Stake Family.
2. Plan to sing along with those of us that are at the Stake Center when the hymns are played.
3. When you log into the webcast, please type in your family name and number of participants in the login box.
4. Finally, since we will not be able to gather for a Stake Temple Night as we usually do prior to Stake Conference, will you please take an extra minute in your prayers this week to ask Father in Heaven for a special blessing to be with you and your family members -- that we can all feel something special, feel some much-needed peace (D&C 6:23), and receive answers to any questions that may be troubling our hearts (D&C 8:2).
We bear testimony that as we make these types of efforts, the Spirit cannot be restrained and we can expect blessings from heaven to come to us, individually and as a Stake.
May the Lord bless us all as we prepare for Stake Conference. There is power in such a gathering of Saints; and we look forward to being witnesses to the miracles and tender mercies that will be experienced this weekend.

The church's Self Reliance Initiative has blessed the lives of many people throughout the world, and many in our stake. These uniquely designed courses, where we are guided to help each other learn, are built to guide us towards temporal and spiritual security in this life and help prepare us for salvation.

Brothers and Sisters,

In two weeks (January 30-31) we will be holding our "Virtual Stake Conference," with Elder Raymond A. Cutler of the Seventy Presiding. We will have two sessions, described as follows::

1. Stake & Ward Leadership Meeting: Saturday, January 30, from 4-5:30pm. A Zoom link will be sent separately to Ward and Stake Leaders that are invited to participate.

2. General Session: Sunday, January 31, from 10-11:30am. This will be a Webcast, just like those you have been connecting with for your weekly Sacrament Meetings.

VIRTUAL STAKE CONFERENCE

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

On January 30th and 31st, we have the great privilege of meeting virtually at Stake Conference to be instructed and strengthened together. Elder Raymond A. Cutler of the Seventy, will be joining with us and presiding at our conference sessions.

Saturday, January 30th
Stake & Ward Council Leadership Meeting, 4:00-5:30 p.m. This session will be an interactive zoom meeting for all stake and ward council members, including full presidencies, the ward mission leader, YM & YW advisors.

Sunday, January 31st
General Session, 10:00-11:30 a.m. This session will only be available thru WEBCAST and is for all members of the stake. A link for this session will be emailed to all members that have their email addresses loaded in the Tools application. Please be sure to review Tools to ensure your contact information is correct. If you don’t receive a link or need assistance, please contact a member of your Bishopric or Ward Technology Specialist for assistance.

Happy Holidays from the Stake Presidency!

Dearest Brothers and Sisters of the Spanish Fork Utah South Stake,

Hello and Happy Holidays to all of you! How are you all doing?

We hope you feel the love and gratitude we have for each one of you! Even more importantly, we hope you feel your Savior's love -- particularly during this "Festival of Brotherhood" when we celebrate more intently the birth, life, mission, Atonement and Resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ -- the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

As you celebrate and enjoy the Holidays -- and as we embark upon the New Year, 2021 -- may we ask something important of you? Will you each please begin to prepare yourselves for our Stake Conference to be held January 30-31, 2021, by praying specifically about what you need to learn and feel during the Conference; what questions you need to have answered; and how you can ensure that it becomes a priority for you and your family to attend -- albeit virtually?

SAVE THE DATE! SPREAD THE WORD THROUGH YOUR MINISTERING! We will only have two sessions of Stake Conference -- both of which will be broadcast to your homes: Stake and Ward Leadership Meeting on Saturday, January 30th from 4-5:30pm (via ZOOM), and a General Session for all Stake Members on Sunday, January 31st from 10-11:30am (Webcast to your homes just like your Sacrament Meetings have been). Links will be emailed to you as we get closer.

Our Visiting Authority will be Elder Raymond A. Cutler of the Seventy. He is a delightful person who is anxious and excited about joining with our Stake. We will all be blessed by his optimistic personality and his deep love for the Savior, which we have already felt by working with him on planning this conference.

May the Lord bless you all this Holiday Season. May we look to 2021 with gratitude and joy, anticipating with faith the healing effects and miracles that this New Year will bring! And may we allow the Spirit and Strength of the Holy Ghost to govern our goal setting and decision-making this New Year!

Brothers and Sisters,

During this season of Thanksgiving, we wanted to tell each of you how grateful we are for you!



The Prophet's message of GRATITUDE this past Friday expanded our hearts and reminded us of the good that is in us and in the world around us despite our challenges. Did you feel the power of watching and listening as a Prophet of God prayed for us? Will you follow his plea to be more grateful and to share that gratitude with the world?

We know that things are strange and out of sorts right now. We haven't had a "normal" day in many, many months. This certainly is a year never to be forgotten in some ways. But that doesn't mean it can't be a memorable year for good and positive reasons as well. Count your many blessings, name them one by one! There is always something to be grateful for, even when you're having the worst of days. Stay close to your family and stay close to the Spirit. He will prompt you, inspire you, and guide you towards happiness and opportunities for service. He will, if you allow Him, move you closer to your Savior in every aspect and detail of your life.

As we've been learning in our Come Follow Me studies recently (specifically Ether 6:3), we are all experiencing a journey across "great waters" together ... learning to navigate and conquer a pandemic, along with other "great deeps" and "personal pandemics" that exist in our lives. May we do so with grace and gratitude ... waiting on the Lord to see what is to become of our lives and our characters after we prove ourselves ... waiting on the Lord to see the types of "stones of light" He places in our barges that help us see things through, to recognize truth, and to rely on His light to guide us. "Be still and know that I Am ..." All will be well.

We pray for you. We appreciate your goodness and your faith. We miss meeting with you more closely, and we long for the day when we can actually see your smiles and offer a warm and safe embrace!

May gratitude and thanksgiving take over your (sometimes troubles) hearts, allowing more for the sweet peace and light of the gospel -- and of God's love -- to have a more prominent place there.
