Tonight in Tacoma doing what we do best showing up. ❤️

Outreach isn’t always glamorous. It’s meeting people where they are, listening to their stories, building relationships, sharing a meal, praying with someone who needs it, and reminding people that they haven’t been forgotten.

These nights and these people are why Misfits Ministries exists. We’re not here to judge anybody or ask how they ended up where they are. We’re here to love people right where they’re at and be the hands and feet of Jesus. 🙏

Another beautiful night serving our unhoused community in Tacoma with some pretty amazing people beside us. ❤️

❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU TO SPANAWAY LUTHERAN CHURCH! ❤️

We just want to give a BIG shout-out to Spanaway Lutheran Church for so graciously opening their space to Misfits Ministries and giving us an amazing place where we can continue making a difference in our community. 🙏✝️

Having a consistent, welcoming place where people know they can find us means more than we can put into words.

Tonight was such a beautiful reminder that what we do isn’t only for our unhoused neighbors it’s for our entire community. ❤️

Families came out with their children. Single moms came by. People received hot food, clothing, resources, fellowship, and prayer. We saw some familiar faces we’ve grown to love, met some wonderful new faces, and had the opportunity to sit with people, hear their stories, pray with them, and remind them that they are not alone.

THIS is why having a space like this matters.

To Spanaway Lutheran Church, thank you for opening your doors and allowing us to use your space to serve. Your kindness is helping us reach more people, build stronger relationships, and make a real difference right here in our community.

And to our Misfits team thank you for continuing to show up and love people exactly where they are.

We are grateful. We are blessed.

❤️ MISFITS MINISTRIES IS MORE THAN STREET OUTREACH ❤️

Most people probably don’t know this about us, but today we received a call from a complete stranger all the way on the East Coast who simply needed someone to pray with them.

And you know what? That’s exactly what we’re here for.

Misfits Ministries isn’t only about handing out meals, water, clothing, and resources. We’re here for people. Period.

If you’re depressed, overwhelmed, lonely, struggling, having a terrible day, need to vent, or simply need somebody to pray with you call or text us.

Our phone is available 24/7. You don’t have to live in Pierce County. You don’t have to be homeless. You don’t have to belong to a church. And you certainly don’t have to have your life together.

Sometimes people don’t need someone to fix everything. They just need someone willing to listen, care, and remind them that they aren’t walking through it alone.

Whether you’re across the street or across the country, if you need prayer, Misfits is here. ❤️🙏

We may be known for our boots on the ground, but ministry doesn’t stop at the sidewalk.

Come as you are. Jesus meets you there. ✝️

🙏 WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS — AND WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS! 🙏

Misfits Ministries may have found a new Spanaway location for Wednesdays and Fridays! ❤️ We should have an answer very soon, and we are incredibly excited about the possibility of partnering with this location and continuing to serve our community.

In the meantime, the mission hasn’t stopped. Our team has been out there practically every day making sure people have food, water, supplies, and drop-offs wherever they’re needed. We may not always have a parking lot or a canopy set up, but we’re still showing up. That’s what boots-on-the-ground ministry is all about. 🙌

We’re praying that God opens this new door and gives us a place where we can consistently gather, build relationships, feed people, pray with people, connect them with resources, and remind them that they are seen, valued, and loved.

Please pray with us that if this is the place God has for Misfits Ministries, He makes the path clear and opens the door wide! 🙏

We’re loving the people society has written off.
We’re standing beside the addicted, the broken, the unhoused, the veterans, the hurting, and the forgotten.

And we’re just getting started. 🙌

We’re not here to fit into anybody’s perfect little box.

🚨 PIERCE COUNTY CHURCHES & BUSINESSES — WE NEED A PLACE TO SERVE! 🚨

Misfits Ministries is looking for a church, business, or property owner willing to partner with us and allow us to serve from your property on Friday nights at 7 PM.

We aren’t coming to bring chaos. We bring peace, relationships, resources, accountability, and HOPE.

This isn’t just about handing someone a plate of food and walking away. We are making REAL change in our community.

❤️ We feed approximately 450 people every week.
🥫 We move around 700 pounds of food every week.
🏠 We’ve helped people move toward housing stability.
💪 We’ve helped several people get connected with detox and rehabilitation.
🧠 We connect people with mental-health services and other resources.
🤝 Most importantly, we’ve built relationships with people who often feel forgotten and helped restore HOPE.

When you build relationships, people begin to trust you. And when they trust you, you have an opportunity to help them make real changes in their lives.

We bring peace — not chaos. We work hard to respect the properties we’re allowed to use, clean up after ourselves, build relationships with the people we serve, and encourage respect for the surrounding businesses and community.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and we’re simply asking for someone in our community to say, “You can serve here.”

If you’re a church, business owner, property manager, or know someone who may have a safe parking lot or property available Friday nights at 7 PM, PLEASE reach out to us.
