It's with great JOY that we are able to announce Pastor Tim and Kris Rausch as Associate Pastors!

Here's a little "get to know ya" we put together:

Reverend Timothy Rausch, Sr. has been a licensed minister for the past 35 years. He was licensed in 1985 with the Assemblies of God and ordained in 1993. Tim has also
been credentialed with the Church of God and Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church and currently holds credentials with the Assemblies of God.

He received his ministerial education through Berean College and his Bachelor’s of Theology from the North Carolina College of Theology. Former senior pastorates have included Cherryville, Kinston, Wilkesboro, Chinquapin, Whiteville and as an Associate Pastor at the Bridge of Life Church, Leland.

Pastor Tim and his wife Kris will be married for 49 years come this July, and have 2 children and five grandchildren. Their son, T.J. is General Manager for Stoneway in Charlotte and resides there with his wife Tricia and have three daughters Britni, Carisa and Alexis. They also have a daughter Lauren, who is a school teacher and resides in Wilmington with her husband David, son Brayden and daughter Kenzie.

Prior to becoming a minister, Pastor Tim served in the United States Air Force. He retired in 1990 after 20 years of honorable service. Pastor Tim is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing golf. He and Kris enjoy spending time with their family and spoiling their grandchildren.

They have recently relocated and now make their home in Oak Island, North Carolina. They are excited to attend and worship at Joy Assembly in Southport. Their continued
desire is to reach out and minister to the lost and hurting.

Hello Team JAG,

We had a great time together Sunday!

We took time to remember those who gave their lives in service to this great country.

For those of you who were unable to come, please know that we missed you and completely understand and appreciate any reluctance or restrictions which have to be taken into consideration for your travel and gathering.

Though we are back on Sunday 10:30 meeting schedules, we will forego the Wednesday evening meetings until further notice (likely phase three).

if you missed the service this weekend, here's a quick recap. We sang your "Grace is Enough," "I am Friend of God," "Holy, Holy Holy 9the hymn)" and introduced a new song - "Waymaker" - really cool song.

We saw a very inspirational video followed by the Gaither version of The Star Spangled Banner.

Kris Rausch sang a great version of "I Know the Peace Speaker"

I preached a quick message (haha) on, "We often forget what we should remember - and remember what we should forget."

What does God remember? He remembered Noah - He remembered Rachel - and many others. BY name. When God remembers, it's personal
God remembers his covenant, his promises, his word to us.
Something tells me (the Bible) that we should remember the NAME of the Lord. - It's personal. Jehovah. I AM THAT I AM.
And we should remember his WORD, His Covenant, and His promises.
It's a partnership. Help me remember, says the Lord. Help me remember your words to me (He says the Holy Spirit will bring the things he has spoken to our remembrance)

What does God forget?!? I can only find a few things God can't do - one is remember my sins (or yours). Remember the "as far is the east is from the west has he removed our iniquities from us?" Remember Him throwing our sins into the sea?
I think we should imitate God. We should make every effort to forget sins. ours and others.

Last point:
Philippians 3:13-14(KJV)
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus..

'Nuff said.

IMPORTANT: We will not resume Wednesday night services until closer to the opening of Phase Three. Thanks and God Bless!

Hello Team Joy,

Good news. It's MOTHER'S DAY!! Our wish to all of you is the happiest day, remembering motherhood on so many levels. It's a generational thing. Your mom. Your kids. Your kid's kids.

I pray your memories will be happy. I pray you will find time to celebrate the mother's of your life. Here's a quick video for you. https://youtu.be/5H6LGT_hM3A

As you gather around the table today, please take time to consider The Lord's Table. All the earth enjoys goodness and hope around this table. Take time to pray for those who are safe, endangered, hopeful, despairing, together, and alone. Pray the Spirit of the God secures, deposits a seed of hope, and makes his omnipresent Self felt and recognized.
As for news on the home front, we should be able to return to regular services very soon. We are probably good at this point to meet with 10 or less indoors (boo!) or free to gather in a parking lot service. The Lutherans next door have been parking lot meeting for a couple weeks. As soon as NC goes phase two we will resume services. Perhaps the 24th or more likely the 31st! The 31st is Pentecost Sunday - 50 days after the Passover celebration.

Hang in there. It is clear now that we are passing the 40 days of trial and about to enter the celebration of harvest. It's a first fruits celebration of the wheat harvest. Seven x seven is 49. So it marks the beginning of a new season of harvest and blessing. Somebody say, "Amen!"

Kiss your children and send them your love. God is good -all the time!

Check out this on our page - (Might be easier to read).
Love
