Day 5 High School Mission Trip: Yesterday was the last full work day of the High School mission trip and it was our best day by yet! We had three groups working simultaneously. One group worked on painting the fence behind the women’s dorms. A different group of girls worked in the nursery painting a mural about God’s promises! Finally our group of boys was back at it again in the men’s dormitory bathrooms finishing up their painting from the day prior. We spent our evening on the Saint Andrew’s State Park pier accompanied by some light hacky sack. Finally we ended our night with large group devotional and compline.

Day 4 High School Mission Trip: High School Mission Trip Day 3 got off to a great start with some new work groups! One group of boys worked in the men’s communal showers cleaning out the shower drains and cleaning the showers themselves. A different group worked on cleaning out the back patio and working in the Panama City Beach Garden Club Garden pulling weeds and picking up dead leaves. Finally a third group went back at it at the pile of sand shoveling it into the truck once more. We then headed to the beach as a group and partook in some hacky sack, shell collecting, and nice walks. We then ended our night with compline and a beautiful sunset!

Day 3 High School Mission Trip: Yesterday we finished up our planting from Monday. Then we split into two groups. A group of boys unloaded a trailer full of trash into a local dumpster. Meanwhile a different group finished mowing around the property, and moving a 5 foot tall pile of sand into the bed of a truck. Following lunch we did some light hacky sacking and got back to work fixing the showers in the women’s dormitory and adjusting some overhead lighting in the Pour. We ended our night back at the Ark doing praise and worship with the residents and talking to them about our mission!
