Tonight, our council gathered for a very special Appreciation Dinner, celebrating the end of an outstanding term of service by our Grand Knight, Tony Chirco.
As Tony's final event as Grand Knight, the evening was filled with fellowship, gratitude, recognition, and plenty of memories. Tony took the opportunity to thank the members of our council for their dedication and hard work throughout his tenure, and we would like to thank him in return for his years of leadership, guidance, and commitment to our brotherhood. Tony, your impact on this council will be felt for years to come, and you will be greatly missed.
A heartfelt thank you was also extended to Lady Angela Chirco for her unwavering support, sacrifice, dedication, and hard work over the past two years. Behind every successful Grand Knight is a supportive family, and Angela's kindness, love, and encouragement have been a blessing to our council. We were honored to celebrate and recognize her contributions as well.
The evening also included several special awards presented by Tony:
🏆 Mentor Award – Ray Bilyk, affectionately known by Tony as his "Yoda," for his wisdom, guidance, and mentorship throughout the years.
🏆 Multi-Tasker Award – Vince Baraszu, for wearing many hats and always stepping up with a "get it done" attitude.
🏆 Spiritual Leader Award – Deacon Charles Dault, for faithfully leading our council in prayer and helping keep Christ at the center of all we do.
🏆 Program Director Award – Brian Batko, our Program Director and incoming Grand Knight, in recognition of his dedication and leadership.
A special recognition was also presented to Angie Mahar, who received a "You Are Awesome" throw blanket as a token of appreciation for everything she does for our council. From helping behind the scenes to taking on the creation of our monthly council newsletter, Angie continually goes above and beyond in service to our council family. Her dedication, hard work, and willingness to help wherever needed are truly appreciated.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to everyone who helped make this evening such a success. It was a wonderful night celebrating the people whose faith, leadership, and service make our council strong.
