People of New Points: Meet Wayne ❤️

Some people make an impact with a microphone. Others make an impact simply by being faithful.

Wayne is one of those people.

Quiet and often reserved, Wayne is always willing to lend a helping hand, offer a thoughtful word of wisdom, or step in wherever he’s needed. As a faithful member of our Safety Team, he helps create a welcoming and secure environment for our church family each week.

Wayne brings a steady sense of calm, a witty sense of humor, and a kindness that often shows up in unexpected ways. If you’re lucky enough to be on his good side, you might just find your favorite coffee beverage, or a unique flavor of beef jerky waiting for you!

Around New Points, many little ones know him affectionately as “Boppa” Wayne, and we are so thankful for the joy, faithfulness, and heart he brings to our church family.

The next time you see Wayne, be sure to say hello and thank him for all he does behind the scenes. We love you, Wayne! ❤️

If you're joining us tomorrow at New Points Church, you'll need to take a little detour:

➡️ Coming from Allen Rd? Take Allen to Superior Ave, then head over to Reeck Rd and into the church parking lot.

➡️ Coming from Northline Rd? Head south on Reeck Rd and you'll be good to go!

⛔ Eureka Rd is closed at Reeck Rd, so you'll want to avoid that route.

Think of it as an extra adventure before worship! We can't wait to see you tomorrow for service, 3 baptisms, a child dedication, and a great time together as a church family. ❤️

What an incredible night at our Holy & Hilarious Comedy Night! 🎉❤️

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out, laughed with us, supported the event, and helped make the evening such a wonderful success.

A special thank you to the Journey with Janice team, including Danny and Janice Henriquez, and to our special guest, Ann Marie Jarvis, for sharing joy, encouragement, and the hope of Jesus with all who attended.

Shout out to Drew Borowsky and Family Life Radio Detroit for helping spread the word and support this special event!

We are so grateful for our amazing volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes:
• Mark Grey and his outstanding Security Team
• Cb's Computer and Electronic Repair for running sound and technology
• , our talented camera guy
• Southgate Police Department for standing by, assisting with traffic, and helping keep everyone safe
• Candice’s Creations for extra media coverage

And a huge thank you to Roma's Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant in Southgate for keeping our volunteers fed and energized throughout the evening!

It truly took many hands, generous hearts, and countless hours of service to make this event possible. We are beyond thankful for every volunteer, donor, supporter, and attendee who played a part.

Most of all, we give God all the glory for a night filled with laughter, fellowship, encouragement, and community. We are blessed to serve alongside such an amazing church family and community.

God has called us to more.

As we conclude our Divine Disciplines series, we’ll be exploring what it means to be Equipped for More and how God prepares His people for His Kingdom purposes.

Join us tomorrow at 11 AM for a special service as we also celebrate three baptisms and a child dedication. We can’t wait to rejoice alongside these families and witness God’s faithfulness together!

Due to construction, Eureka Rd is closed at Reeck Rd and you will NOT be able to access New Points Church from Eureka.

✅ Alternate Routes:
• Take Allen Rd to Superior Ave, then continue to Reeck Rd and into the church parking lot.
• Or come in from Northline Rd and head south on Reeck Rd to the church.

Please use caution and be courteous to our police officers and parking team who will be on-site helping direct traffic.

Worship isn’t just what happens on the stage on Sunday morning.

It’s in every quiet act of service, every unseen sacrifice, every willing heart.

From the stage to the sound booth, from the nursery to the parking lot. Whether you’re making coffee, greeting at the doors or scrubbing toilets after everyone has gone home… let everything we do be for the glory of the Lord.

This church is more than a building.
It’s a house of worship.

A place where lives are changed, burdens are lifted, prayers are whispered, laughter is shared, and people find home.

Every role matters. Every person matters. Every act of love matters.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus…” Colossians 3:17

God is good, all the time! 🙌

Here’s just a few moments captured from this past Sunday at New Points Church. We had such a wonderful time of worship, service, fellowship, and simply being together as a church family.

We’re still feeling so thankful and blessed for every opportunity God gives us to gather, grow, laugh, pray, and encourage one another. There’s something so special about doing life together in community. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend. We love our church family and can’t wait to see what God continues to do at New Points!
