🙏 Monday Prayer Points: Expectancy

As we step into a new season, let’s pray with expectant hearts, believing God is already at work in ways we cannot yet see.

• Prepare our hearts, Lord for everything You want to teach us and reveal to us in this next season.

• Open our eyes to the hidden treasures of Your Kingdom and help us seek You first above everything else.

• Go before our children and families as a new school year begins. Protect them, guide them, and help them be a light wherever You place them.

• Bring new people into our church and community, and help us create a place where they are seen, loved, welcomed, and pointed toward Jesus.

• Give us expectant faith to believe that what You are doing among us is only the beginning.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” — Matthew 6:33

Lord, help us not only look forward to what’s next, but recognize what You’re already doing right in front of us. 💙🙏

This Sunday, we’re beginning a brand-new series at New Points Church: HIDDEN TREASURE: A Treasure Worth Everything.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness…” But in a world filled with distractions, pressures, and things demanding our attention, it can be easy to overlook what matters most.

Throughout this series, we’ll uncover the incredible worth of God’s Kingdom and discover what happens when we choose to seek Him first. ❤️

💎 FUN FACT FRIDAY | HIDDEN TREASURES

Did you know there’s nearly 70 years of ministry history hidden within the walls of the building New Points Church calls home?

Long before New Points began, 14250 Reeck Road was home to Trinity Wesleyan Church. Historical records from The Wesleyan Church even tell us that Rev. Eldon Nelson, who pastored Trinity for 16 years, helped build the church that stood here.

Years later, Trinity became 37 North, another Wesleyan ministry that served from this property.

Then in 2020, God began something NEW.

New Points Church was planted as a brand-new, fresh-start church with a new mission and vision for reaching Southgate and the Downriver community.

We aren’t a continuation of the churches that came before us, but we have the privilege of building something new on ground with a longstanding legacy of ministry. 🤍

And what a beautiful reminder as we begin our new series:

💎 HIDDEN TREASURES: A Treasure Worth Everything

The Kingdom of God is often hidden beneath what is visible, immediate, and obvious. But when we begin to see what God has been doing all along, we discover something worth everything.

📖 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness…” — Matthew 6:33

For nearly 70 years, people have gathered on this little piece of Southgate to seek the Kingdom of God.

And today, He’s still writing the story.

Some of our New Points ladies found themselves around the table together this week, enjoying good food, great conversation, and the gift of friendship. 💙 We love seeing fellowship opportunities like this happen naturally beyond Sunday mornings! It’s these simple, everyday moments that bring us closer together and help build genuine community.

And fellowship doesn’t have to be complicated or church leader led! A cup of coffee, lunch after church, a walk in the park, or simply inviting someone to join you at another event can create an opportunity to connect. 🤍 Don’t always wait for the invitation. Be the invitation! Sometimes building community starts with simply saying, “Come with me!”

They say it takes a village to raise a child. I'm starting to realize; it takes a village to do just about everything! i9 Sports Downriver is new, small and unheard of by many. Since starting in February 2026, I've had unbelievable blessings come my way starting with New Points Church opening their doors & hearts to my business by allowing our program to take place there. In this relationship, I then met Candice Seely. What a Godsend! You are talking about an amazing woman in every aspect. Wife, mother & now proud to say my Marketing Manager! Several Downriver businesses have taken a name, in which they have put their blood, sweat & tears in, & allowed me to put my name, with no reviews & no social media hype next to theirs. We’ve officially wrapped up our Resilient series, but before we move on, let’s take a moment to reflect on what God has been teaching us. 🤍

Over these past few weeks, we’ve learned about:

🌱 Resilient Faith — trusting God with courage.
⚓ Anchored in Hope — placing our hope in Him, not our circumstances.
❤️ Steady Within — allowing God to strengthen us from the inside out.
🛡️ Resilient in Spiritual Battle — standing firm in the victory we already have in Christ.
🤝 Resilient Together — remembering we were never meant to do this alone.

💜 Worship Wednesday looks a little extra special today! 💜

How fitting that our Pastors Roger & Robin are celebrating their anniversary on a Wednesday, a day we set aside to focus on worship. Because if you know these two, you know that worship is so much more than the songs they sing. It’s the way they live.

Together, they have built a life centered around loving, serving, and worshiping the Lord in everything they do. They serve one another and our church with love, patience, kindness, faithfulness, and selflessness. Through the many ups and downs of life and ministry, they have continued to choose God and choose each other, making a pretty incredible team along the way. 🤍

And the legacy of their love and faith continues! Their three children, alongside their spouses, all serve in ministry right here at New Points Church, and together their family has been blessed with eight grandchildren! What a beautiful picture of a life and family built around loving Jesus and serving His Kingdom.

Today, on this Worship Wednesday, we celebrate not only their marriage, but the example they have given us of what it looks like to worship God with your whole life.

Happy Anniversary, Pastors Roger & Robin! We love you, appreciate you, and are so thankful for the way you love God, love one another, and love His people. 💜

💙 PEOPLE OF NEW POINTS | Meet Jeremy!

If you’ve worshiped with us on a Sunday morning, you’ve probably seen Jeremy helping hold down the rhythm on bass! 🎸

Jeremy is a gifted musician and a dedicated member of our Worship Team. He is always prepared, eager to learn, and willing to help wherever he can. We are so thankful for the consistency and dedication he brings as he helps lead our church family in worship each week.

Outside of church, Jeremy enjoys going to concerts and sporting events, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is a proud son of our very own Alton Schroeder - who you may have seen singing along to his guitar playing not too long ago. He is also a very blessed father and is getting ready to add a brand new title to the list… Grandpa! ❤️

One of the things we appreciate most about Jeremy is his willingness to keep growing. Whether he’s learning something new, lending a hand, or picking up his bass to worship, he shows up ready to serve.

Jeremy, thank you for sharing your gifts with New Points and for being such a faithful part of our church family! We appreciate you!

Yesterday was such a special day at New Points Church! ❤️

We had the privilege of celebrating a Child Dedication, a beautiful reminder that our children are a gift from God and that raising the next generation is something we do together.

As parents, family, and a church family, we committed to pray for, encourage, love, and help point these little ones toward Jesus as they grow.

We are so thankful for the children God has entrusted to us, and we can’t wait to see all He has planned for their lives! 🙏

“Children are a gift from the Lord.” Psalm 127:3

Our children need us. Our children need YOU. ❤️
