We Believe...
. . God is the eternal, all-powerful, supreme creator and sustainer of the entire universe. God is one, composed of spirit and comprising a family presently consisting of God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son. The Holy Spirit is God’s essence, power, mind, spiritual extension, and presence. Upon repentance and faith, God “begets” us with His Spirit into the God family.

. . the whole Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired Word of God. The Word of God is to be used for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. It is the same yesterday, today, and forever. This includes but is not limited to; observance of God’s seventh-day Sabbath, God’s Annual Holy Days Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles, and the Eighth Day), and God’s dietary laws of clean and unclean meats.

. . God forgives sin upon repentance (the act of acknowledging one’s sins, and resolving to fully obey God) of the individual who accepts the shed blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ as payment in full for the penalty of one’s sins. Salvation is a freely given gift from God through grace and is a promise of eternal life. Upon death, we do not ascend to heaven but await to be resurrected as spirit-composed saints in the Kingdom of God.

. . the church is the spiritual body of Christ, a group of persons called out by God. The church is comprised of baptized, Spirit-led individuals who are scattered around the world. The church has a mandate to continue with the witness and message of Jesus Christ initiated through His life, teachings, and sacrifice for every person and all nations. This will be accomplished by the resources available to the “body of Christ” and furthered through the spiritual gifts bestowed by our Heavenly Father.

CGI Detroit Family,

After continuous prayers and in heeding the recommendations of medical professionals to limit in-person social interaction, we will not be having in-person services until the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis has ended and restrictions on public gatherings have eased. This will also include our Passover services if this situation continues on the path it is on.

In this extraordinary time, we are looking for extraordinary ways for us to stay connected as a church community, so starting with the Sabbath tomorrow, March 21st, we will be streaming Sabbath Services and the Women’s Ministry meeting.

The Sabbath Service will start at 1:00 PM and the Women’s Ministry meeting will start at 2:30 PM.
