This Sukkot, we're doing something a little different! Join us Friday, September 25 for Sushi in the Sukkah — an evening of prayer, community, and delicious Japanese fare shared in the sukkah. Services begin at 5:30 (including a special tot Shabbat service), followed by a sushi and teriyaki chicken buffet with kids' options. Start with Morning Minyan at 7:30 a.m. breakfast, then put your hands to work creating our beautiful Zevi Davidson Sukkah. Building our communal sukkah is a mitzvah, and there's nothing quite like the camaraderie that comes from creating something meaningful together. "Pizza in the Hut" lunch will be served around 12:30. The Holy Days are a time for reflection—and for action. This year, CSZ is partnering with Yad Ezra to support Jewish families facing food insecurity. Pick up a paper bag on Rosh Hashanah, fill it with kosher non-perishables (canned vegetables and beans, pasta, rice, canned tuna, cold cereal, and flour), and drop it off during Yom Kippur services or during office hours throughout the week. Giving tzedakah during the High Holidays is a powerful way to walk your values.
