This Al Smith's Praise Party Team concert is a make-up performance for a show that we had to reschedule from last month. Come on over and check out new material! It's a pass-the-hat fundraiser for the ministry at Peace Lutheran's "Peace Community Spiritual Center".

WE HAVE HAD TO CANCEL OUR "AL SMITH'S PARTY PRAISE TEAM CONCERT tomorrow, (Saturday), April 24, 2026, at Peace Lutheran Church -- Southfield, Michigan due to illness. The concert will be rescheduled for late May. Hope to see you then...🎶🎵

I've been sick all week with a nasty sinus infection. It hasn't gotten any better in 7 days. Just the opposite. Deep cough. Couldn't sleep. I haven't had sinusitis this bad for a while, so I'm headed up to the pharmacy to get an antibiotic prescription filled. And that is disappointing because we were really looking forward to performing together. I can't sing at all, and playing guitar is uncomfortable. I don't think I'm contagious, but there is that concern too.

Well, tonight's the night, folks! Friday the lucky 13th. Here's the program... You all are invited to the Album Release party in the Peace Lutheran Church Theater Room (Southfield, Michigan) beginning at 7:30PM. We are psyched.

Can't make it? The concert will be streamed on this page. You can still donate to this worthy cause -- and you'll get an album to boot. Thanks everyone.

NEW POST -- Dear Family and Friends... I just pre-released my new music album "Double Bind" today. All sales of the album will be donated to Peace Lutheran Church and the Peace Community Spiritual Center to help pay for winter expenses during this particularly cold 2026 season here in Detroit. You can help our beloved community (seven congregations, the Rosedale Community Theater, by doing one or both of these things...

1. I'm hosting a release party on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. The party itself will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in the theater room. Admission is free. Pizza and soft drinks are available early on as long as they last.

AND I'm planning on STREAMING THE SHOW LIVE on YouTube. I would like to invite you to paste the YouTube streaming link up on your page so that you and your friends and family might see it. Please send me an IM or leave a message below if you are willing to share the link. We have a very talented and diverse list of local performers sharing their music -- including a performance by my band -- Tim Larson and the Funk Fam. The songs on the album are all original or come from America's folk tradition. I would really like to know what you think.

2. This is a fundraiser for the church hosted by people who care about community -- and it would really help Peace if you would help us advertise the live show. Please consider buying an album for $15 as a donation to help the cause, or simply donate through a GoFundMe page that will be listed on the stream cast.

There are four local artist acts -- all of whom have albums of their own -- will also be performing. At around 9pm, my band, will play seven songs off the album to end the evening, and share a bonus tune that sums up our community values and what we wish for religious organizations everywhere.

This is a pre-release Bandcamp Music site where our album can be downloaded -- today if you wish. You can preview any of the songs you like on the site, buy them as singles, or purchase and download the album.
