From Remnant's Pastor's Page for Sunday, September 6, 2026:

Consider this scenario:

• King Saul throws spears, trying to kill David.

• David eludes the spears on multiple occasions.

• David knows that Saul's ill will is NOT a figment of his imagination.

• To keep himself safe, David distances himself from Saul.

• David tells Samuel about Saul's actions.

• While David is meeting with Samuel, Saul still tries to take David, but the attempts are thwarted.

• David eventually has an opportunity to retaliate, but doesn't (out of respect).

Take note of the fifth part — an opportunity for a godly person to provide counsel to David. At no time do we have ANY RECORD of Samuel instructing David to make amends with Saul. Yet, when these types of scenarios present themselves today, the brazenness and ignorance of ungodly counselors will put the burden of reconciliation on THE INNOCENT PERSON, exposing them to unjust, undue, and inequitable risk.

Saul was troubled by an evil spirit from the Lord. As a result, he sought to do David much harm. Everyone bears the burden of seeking peace. Those who only seek destruction, especially those who imagine or falsify reports of ill intent are in grave danger.

If you are "the David" in such a situation, beware of imbalanced proposals to achieve peace. If and when you extend yourself to a wicked person, the proverbial spears they chuck have higher probability of hitting their mark.

Proverbs 16:13 says "Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right."

God's people are kings and priests. Therefore, one's passion for truth and accuracy OR an aloof attitude towards the same.... says more than what many think.

Matthew 13:24–30 says "Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."

In this parable, the wheat are the children of God. When the Lord said "Let the wheat and the tares grow together, He wasn't talking to the wheat."

In addition, there are SEVERAL scriptures that decry tolerance of wicked people in the church. Ignore these truths at your own expense.

Proverbs 15:14
The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.

Being at church means nothing.... but what one is feeding on tells a critical story.
