Youth Ministry Sunday Recap 🤗❤️🎉
Yesterday was a day filled with joy, reflection, and acts of love! Tay had the honor of receiving the heartfelt cards our youth created last week for patients at Karmanos who are undergoing radiation or chemotherapy. Seeing their words and creativity poured into something meant to uplift others was truly beautiful. It was a reminder that love isn’t just something we feel but also something we show.
That same spirit carried through the rest of the day. With our 4-8 year olds, we finished additional cards before taking turns reading from the children’s Bible on the story of Noah. We wrapped up by playing a memory match game that connected to the story of Noah, reinforcing God’s faithfulness and how He cares for us.
Elder Carole led our teen young ladies in a meaningful discussion on God’s love, using 1 John 4:7-12 as the foundation. She played songs that expressed God’s deep love for us, and the girls had the chance to write letters to God, thanking Him for whatever was on their hearts.
At the same time, Shawn Lee guided the young men in a conversation about their role in the community and how they can use their God-given gifts to make an impact. They explored what it means to embrace God’s love and identity as young men of faith.
Though each group focused on something different, there was a common thread of understanding and sharing God’s love. Whether through written words of encouragement, diving into scripture, or discussing identity and purpose, every moment reflected how love moves us to action.
It was a truly amazing Sunday, and we are excited for all that’s to come!
