Over the weekend, St. John’s was blessed with a pastoral visit by His Grace Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan. The visit opened with a welcome dinner Thursday evening hosted by the Parish Council and Diocesan Delegates.
Friday, our primate visited local religious leaders and blessed our seniors at Manoogian Manor. Friday evening, over 400 patrons celebrated the 50th anniversary of Rev. Fr. Garabed Kochakian’s ordination to the priesthood.
Saturday morning, over 60 women’s guild members had a special gathering for a prayer service and Tea reception. In the afternoon, our acolytes enjoyed a pizza lunch with the Bishop!!
Sunday, His Grace was the celebrant for an Episcopal Divine Liturgy and the ordination of subdeacons and acolytes. Throughout the reception following church services, the Bishop took the opportunity to meet and interact with all in attendance.
It was a wonderful weekend for our parish!
