What a beautiful day for Team Nyla Rae! ❤️

Today, family and friends came together for the Sickle Cell Matters Walk in loving memory of Nyla Rae Moreasun. Her picture was carried proudly, her memory filled every heart, and her life gave purpose to every step.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who walked, donated, supported, prayed, and helped make Team Nyla Rae possible. Today was about more than walking. It was about raising awareness, supporting those affected by sickle cell disease, and honoring a beautiful young woman whose memory continues to touch lives.

Walking with purpose. Supporting with love. Making a difference in memory of Nyla Rae.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. We still honor. We still pray. 🇺🇸🙏🏾

May God continue to comfort those who carry the memories and remind us of the strength found in faith, compassion, and unity.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Garrick D. “Ricky” Pinchum, who transitioned from this life on August 27, 2026.

Ricky was loved by his family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by his presence. As we mourn his passing, we surround his family with our prayers, our love, and the comfort that comes from God during this difficult time.

The Oakland Church of Christ family wishes our Minister, Edward J. Cribbs, and his wife, Rosalind, a very Happy 36th Wedding Anniversary!
