"I worked on the Railroad that was formerly The American Orient Express and traveled all around the country.
I love animals and have many rescue animals at home including six dogs, 2 ferrets, and a cat.
My wife and I enjoy going on cruises. We have been on 8 cruises over the past several years and plan for many more in the future!"

Emmanuel is looking for a part-time Nursery Worker to care for infants and toddlers (ages 0 to 4) during Sunday worship services (9:00 a.m. – Noon) and for special events. The ideal person provides a safe, clean, and caring environment so parents can participate in services with peace of mind. Prior experience in childcare, babysitting, or a preschool setting is preferred. Will need to have a background check and safe church training will be provided. CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). If interested, send a letter of interest and/or resume to [email protected]

This week we highlight our wonderful rector, the Rev. Morris Thompson - thank you for all that you do for Emmanuel, Father Morris, reflecting the light of Christ from generation to generation!
Fun Facts:
"1. Morris’ employment during college included flipping “swords" at a Mongolian restaurant, scraping mold off aged cheese, and leading the ropes course at an Episcopal summer camp.
2. Morris once shaved his head to play Oliver “Daddy" Warbucks in a middle school performance of the Musical Annie (pictures not available).
3. While Morris’ father is an Episcopal Bishop, the Episcopal roots actually run deeper on his mother’s side who’s maternal grandfather was a joyful parish priest in churches all over Mississippi."

Bless Moore Schools is this Sunday, August 9 at 4:30pm! Join Emmanuel at the EDS Amphitheatre for a short 15 minute service that will include praying over each EDS student and staff member by name. People all over the community will gather at this same time all across the county to pray for our schools, our students, and our educators.
