260 Years Young!

In 1766, thirty-nine men petitioned the Connecticut General Assembly for permission to form a new Ecclesiastical Society in the South Britain section of Southbury. In the winter, it was difficult to cross the "mountain" between Southbury and "The Bent." Permission was granted and the first meeting was held on June 5, 1766 at Moses Downs' house.

Wonderful presentation on Mental Health today during coffee hour (in support of Mental Health Awareness month)

Due to the rain, the Memorial Day Parade has been CANCELLED.

We invite residents to attend the Ceremony and the Picnic.

The Memorial Day Ceremony will take place at 11:00am inside the Senior Center/Parks & Recreation Building located at 561 Main Street South.

The Picnic will go on as scheduled, immediately following the ceremony, running until about 2:00pm, and it will take place outside the Parks and Recreation building.

On Sunday, May 24, we will be celebrating with Charlotte L. as she affirms her Baptism in the Rite of Confirmation. Worship that morning will be at United Church of Christ Southbury at 9:30 AM.

There will be no service at SBCC.
