Mississippi 2025 cancelled
It is with a heavy heart that I must cancel the 2025 Mississippi trip. I do not feel I can put the time and energy into planning and attending the Mississippi Mission Trip that it deserves. With the cancellation of this year’s trip, I do not foresee myself leading the trip in the future.
These almost twenty years of the Mission Trip have been the best experiences of my life. I have grown closer to God. I learned so much about my faith from the hundreds of young people that experienced the mission trip with me. And I have made some lifelong friends.
I am forever grateful to Fr. Flynn for giving me such a great opportunity working with the young people and families of St. Matthew. I also have been blessed by Father Flynn’s unwavering support of the trip and of me. And my heart is filled with gratitude for the support of St. Matthew’s parishioners. ~ Mark Polny

Happy Sunday! In today’s homily we learned that no matter the bad stuff that happens around you, no matter how threatened you feel by life, God will never abandon you; God cannot abandon you. God is always present. God is always nurturing and guiding us in this life.

Hi everyone! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some of you today at the social event after the 10 am mass. I’m excited for the Youth Ministry community to grow and prosper; it’s truly a team effort and after meeting some of you, I can’t help but say how hopeful and inspired I am to do more for this group. I’ve created a sign-up sheet for parents who want to be a part of the email list I will make for Youth Ministry for upcoming socials and events. I’ve learned that Facebook isn’t the best way to communicate to most parents, therefore I’m trying this out!

Join us on October 26th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm for a Trunk or Treat in the parish parking lot! Park your cars, unload your trunk full of candies, wear costumes, bring your children, and have fun! We encourage you to donate to the Southborough Food Pantry through cash donations or gift cards for Market Basket, Walgreens, Stop and Shop, Price Chopper, Target, or CVS.

ALMOST THERE: Beth Delahunty, a St. Matthew Parishioner, running The Boston Marathon for The Michael Lisnow Center is almost at the finish line!! How amazing is that!
