Throughout the Book of Pslams King David pleaded with God to teach him His ways and statues so that he could understand what God required to please Him. Hosea 4:6 says " My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" and 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth". As Christians the only way we can be assure
d of salvation and Heaven being our eternal home is to obey what God has commanded through His Word. We must seek truth and understanding to ensure the path we are following is right and pleasing to God. Many Christians in today's society have developed a salvation based on carnality and personal feeling because many churches are poisoned with false prophets and false teaching. These s has deceived many to believe they can continue to live sinful lifestyles, disobey God commandments and still be saved, reap God's blessings and get into Heaven. Jesus says unless a man be born again he cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Sound doctrine has been replaced by false promises of blessings, wealth and material things if one simply pays monetary offerings, no matter what their spiritual condition is.
