When the spirit filled the room, you know it and what I witnessed tonight was people new in recovery worshipping their savior.

He died so we can live.

The sweetness of the Holy Spirit was with us tonight as Doug Hajjar led us in soul filled worship.

Mark Hews brought such an amazing story as he celebrated 37 years of recovery. Truly changed from the inside out as he truly spoke the freedom found in Jesus.

Peter brought us through our normal Lord's prayer in a very different and reflective way.

And the sweetness of a group of God's children finding our way in recovery.

I feel blessed.

We Had an amazing turnout night with 33 in attendance.

We are so grateful to Jewel Church and her dedication to our meeting as a regular worship leader. Her words got so well last night talking about the importance of folding a napkin in hospitality and the hope that customers come back and how amazing it was that although the funeral clothes that Jesus left behind when he rose again were rumpled, the cloth that had covered his face was neatly folded assuring that he would come back. powerful

And so much thanks to Sharon for sharing from John 5:1-9 about the man who couldn't make it to the healing water and how there was no one to help him and Jesus was the only one who could help him. And how she compared that to our recovery journeys and how we needed to ask for help. And the importance of community because without it we are more likely to fail.

We also had eight attendees come up and get their recovery crosses they're surrender crosses and it was just beautiful to get so many hugs.

Last night was pivotal for RC SoPo. We had almost 20 people prepared to pray prior to church. The Holy Spirit was definitely felt by all.

Dean Richardson helped lead us in worship and despite some technical difficulties, it didn't change the positive vibe for all.

Nathan Hollen lead us in an experiential teaching about Holy week and how the 4th step ties into the whole reason that Jesus died for our sins. He shared this prayer with us as well..

4th step Prayer
Help me to see where resentment has plagued me and resulted in spiritual malady, but more importantly help me to understand my part in these resentments. Help me to resolutely look for my own mistakes and to understand where I had been selfish, dishonest, self-seeking and frightened. Please help me to be searching and fearless in my endeavor to write my inventory. (http://friendsofbillw.net/twelve_step_prayers)

We would love to see you on Wednesdays at 7pm.
