What We Believe and Teach

• We believe that we are only one part of Christ’s universal Church and share with believers in other communions one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.
• With other Protestants we affirm the priority of salvation by grace alone through faith in Christ, the priesthood of all believers, and the Bible as the final rule of Christian faith and practice.
• We believe that th

e Old and New Testaments reveal God’s will for all persons concerning sin, salvation, and new life in Christ.
• We affirm that Christ’s death atoned for the sins of all people, and that this grace is effective for the salvation of each person who accepts it.
• We believe that Christians are justified and sanctified by faith alone.
• We believe that Christ’s sanctifying grace is received initially in the New Birth (regeneration) when the Holy Spirit plants a new principle of spiritual life within, and that sanctifying grace increases as we live life through the Spirit. We affirm that entire sanctification is a gracious provision and possibility for all believers, in which the heart is cleansed of all sin and overflows with love for God and neighbor.

We were thankful today to honor Rob for nearly 90 years of attending Sunrise and his faithful service to the church with the Distinguished Service Award! We also remembered his wife Donna today with the Memoriam Award from NMI! Thankful for the pillars of our churches!

Winter wonderland ❄️ We are hoping to get the lots scraped tomorrow and put down some salt, but news is, more snow coming tomorrow 🤪 We will not have Sunday School for sure this Sunday and church is pending! Depends on if we can get the lots and walkways clear enough! So stay tuned for further updates! In the meantime, think warm thoughts and prepare your hearts and minds for what The Lord has for us to do in these warmer days ahead to further His Kingdom 😉❤️ Rest and renew your mind, body and soul during this time!

How long will my enemy have the upper hand? Turn and answer me, O Lord my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die. Don’t let my enemies gloat, saying, “We have defeated him!” Don’t let them rejoice at my downfall. But I trust in your unfailing love. I will rejoice because you have rescued me. What situation has maybe caused us to ask this question?
“Lord , how long?”
Our health, finances , the weather ? How long is school gonna be out?😁

In this psalm David helps us realize that we can be “real” in our conversations with God . It’s me Lord , here’s how it is right now and here’s what I need .
Without , questioning His Holiness , His understanding, His Sovreignty, He understands us , and our Situation even when we may think He doesn’t !

Well, what reason do I have to trust Him, praise Him , believe that somehow in the midst of this He will make something good of it ?

Before you think too much and too hard about that David gave us the short easy answer.

Verse 6 of this text:
Because He is GOOD!

Hello everyone
Unfortunately , due to the continued sub zero wind chills and the fact the church lot has yet to be cleared we will be cancelling service once again this Sunday
We want everyone to be safe and it’s really not at that point yet.
