Reminder, No Service due to ice conditions.
Today’s Scripture: Micah 6:1–8
God asks a simple but searching question: “What does the Lord require of you?”
Not extravagant sacrifices. Not religious show. Not trying to earn God’s favor.
Instead, God reminds the people of grace already given—freedom, guidance, faithfulness—and then calls them to a life that reflects that grace:
-Do justice
-Love kindness
-Walk humbly with your God
From a Methodist perspective, this is faith in motion. God’s love comes first, always. Our response isn’t about proving ourselves—it’s about letting God’s grace shape how we live, how we treat others, and how we walk through the world each day.
Justice isn’t abstract. Kindness isn’t optional. Humility isn’t weakness.
They are signs of a heart being transformed by God.
Today, may we worry less about what we bring to God
and focus more on how we walk with God.
🙏 Prayer:
Gracious God, thank you for your steadfast love that goes before us. Shape our lives so that justice, kindness, and humility flow from hearts changed by your grace. Walk with us today Jesus, that we may be transformed to walk with you and serve alongside you in ministry with all in your holy church. Amen.
