Last 2 Saturdays of the month

We are a United Methodist Church in Southern Ohio that seeks to make everyone feel welcome in our church through outreach activities within our community and within our own body of believers. We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We seek to bring the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that shows the lost that they can be found.

Friends,

After speaking with my wife and Brother, along with the Church adminstration board. I am asking you forgive me but we will not be having Good Friday service this year.

I regret to share my father has passed away tonight and I am not sure I am able to preach a message worthy of the ultimate gift given by our Savior. Visit friends and family, or another service and on Sunday we can celebrate the joy of the resurrection!

Thank you for your understanding and prayers at this time.

Our plan for the moment is to not use the front door of the church; the side door to the sanctuary is open and ready for use. We do want to hold service, but please know that no one will blame anyone for staying home and staying safe.

Our dinner will be held next Sunday to support our food pantry. I also want to remind you that we’ve had two Sundays with no offering, which makes it extremely difficult for our church to support its ministries and pay bills. Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. Without your support, the church isn’t able to share or be a witness to our community. Thank you all, and God bless!

Reminder, No Service due to ice conditions.

Today’s Scripture: Micah 6:1–8

God asks a simple but searching question: “What does the Lord require of you?”
Not extravagant sacrifices. Not religious show. Not trying to earn God’s favor.

Instead, God reminds the people of grace already given—freedom, guidance, faithfulness—and then calls them to a life that reflects that grace:

-Do justice
-Love kindness
-Walk humbly with your God

From a Methodist perspective, this is faith in motion. God’s love comes first, always. Our response isn’t about proving ourselves—it’s about letting God’s grace shape how we live, how we treat others, and how we walk through the world each day.

Justice isn’t abstract. Kindness isn’t optional. Humility isn’t weakness.
They are signs of a heart being transformed by God.

Today, may we worry less about what we bring to God
and focus more on how we walk with God.

🙏 Prayer:
Gracious God, thank you for your steadfast love that goes before us. Shape our lives so that justice, kindness, and humility flow from hearts changed by your grace. Walk with us today Jesus, that we may be transformed to walk with you and serve alongside you in ministry with all in your holy church. Amen.

Due to just so much ice, we are feeling it would be safer to cancel service. I am sorry to disappoint anyone but it isn’t safe in the parking lot and with freezing temperatures it is hard to remove ice.

I plan to share a devotion that you can read tomorrow morning!

❄️ Weather Update – Sunday, January 25, 2026 ❄️

Due to icy roads and snowy conditions, there will be no church service this Sunday (1/25/2026). The safety of our congregation always comes first, and we want everyone to stay warm and safe at home.

Please take this time to rest, enjoy a quiet moment of prayer or reflection, and check on a neighbor if you’re able. We look forward to gathering together again very soon!

Stay safe, stay cozy, and know you are in our prayers. 💙🙏

Amen!

At the beginning of a new year, many United Methodists renew their covenant with God with a Covenant Service and a recitation of the Wesley Covenant Prayer--a prayer which John Wesley adapted from the Puritan tradition.

The prayer invites us to rededicate our lives to serving as Jesus' representatives in the world. It invites us into participating in self-emptying love.

May the words inspire you and your spiritual journey in the new year. Blessings and Happy New Year.
