Order of Malta New Jersey Area This is one of 30 Areas of the Order of Malta, American Association USA, created in 1927.

The Order of Malta is a lay religious order of the Roman Catholic Church that seeks to glorify God by promoting the sanctification of each member through his or her work with the sick and the poor and witness of the Catholic faith. We are an active and growing Area with 149 members across the 5 Dioceses of the State who fulfill the Mission and Charism of the Order through our acts of mercy perform

ed and accomplished in our many services and ministries. Funded by American Association and NJ Area grants, those services and ministries mainly include food backpack programs, flu vaccination clinics, ID issuance programs, van pickup/delivery of food and material, and prison ministry. Guided by our dedicated Chaplains, we periodically gather to spiritually enrich our lives and others through Advent and Lenten Recollections, rosary walks, Eucharistic Processions, Pilgrimages for Life, and serving the sick with our annual Pilgrimage to Lourdes.
