The Community of faith now known as the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield began meeting on December 11, 1792, over two hundred years ago. Initially the Samptown Baptist Church, we were first housed on the land which is now known as Hillside Cemetery at Samptown. Now over two hundred years later, we are now located at 201 Hamilton Blvd. After many years of changes, our church still stands st

rong. As our mission statement says 'Led by the Love of God, we are a caring family of faith, committed to spiritual growth and ministering to those in need.'

We hold Sunday School every week from 9:30-10:30
Our regular service is held on Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:30

This week, we concluded our Learning Lab STEAM program for the school year with a Science Fair! The kids had a great time doing their experiments and presenting them to their families.

The kids also got to practice for our Children's Sunday Worship this week (June 14 at 10:30 AM).

Following Worship, we will be having our Annual Church Picnic!

Our next Wednesday Evening Bible Study topic will be "Belonging: Accessibility, Inclusion, and Christian Community." We will be following the LifeGuide Bible Study guide on this topic.

Encouraging us in our ministry to families of children with a disability, we hope this study will remind us to continue in faith to be a welcoming community where not a single member of the body of Christ is not included.
