Youth for Christ - Metro Pittsburgh

Youth for Christ - Metro Pittsburgh We're an organization on a mission to bring the message of Jesus to young people across the world.

Every day at thousands of community centers, high schools, middle schools, coffee shops, and local hangouts, YFC staff and volunteers meet with young people who need Jesus. We are urban and suburban, and we are always about the message of Jesus.

Let’s pray for the graduates across our area.

Jesus, guide our graduates as they step into what’s next. Give them courage for new beginnings, wisdom for hard choices, and people who will keep pointing them back to You.

Remind them that their worth is not measured by a school, job, plan, or title. Let them know they are loved, seen, and never alone.

Be near in the joy, the unknowns, the goodbyes, and the first steps into a new season.

“The Lord is with you wherever you go.”

By the end of this week, seniors from schools all over our area will have walked across stages, heard their names called, and stepped into a new season.

To the graduates across our ministry site schools, congratulations! We’re proud of you.

We’ve seen this class of students grow in club rooms, on trips, during honest conversations, and in the quiet choices they made to keep showing up. Graduation marks a real finish line, but it also opens the door to what God is still writing.

Our prayer is that you would know Jesus is near in every next step. You are loved. You are not alone. And there is room for your story with Him.

Class of 2026, we’re cheering you on!

To our seniors, from your Campus Life leaders: we’re grateful for you.

We’ve loved watching you grow. We’ve seen your courage, your questions, your laughter, your honesty, and the ways you kept showing up even when life felt full.

Some of you walked into Campus Life unsure of what to expect. Some of you found friends, mentors, space to breathe, or a place where you could be known. We don’t take that lightly.

As you step into what comes next, keep walking with Jesus. Keep choosing people who point you toward hope in Christ. Keep showing up with courage.

You are loved, and we’re proud of you.

Job is a great example of saying the quiet parts out loud. He looks for God and can’t find Him. He scans every direction and still feels alone. That’s not a lack of faith. That’s honest faith under stress.

Teens feel this when friends shift or school pressure piles up. Adults feel it when bills rise, jobs change, or grief sticks around longer than you expected.

Job anchors himself to one steady truth: “He knows the way that I take.” Even when you can’t sense God, He hasn’t lost you. He hasn’t stepped away. He sees your path, your pace, and what you carry.

If you don’t have words today, borrow this prayer:
“God, I can’t find You, but You know me. Hold me.”

Middle school students are heading to Summer Escape soon, and giving partners are already helping make the week possible.

For several summers, our middle school students have shared space with other groups during Ligonier Camp’s On The Edge program. This year, we want to reserve all the spots for our mid-July week so Campus Life middle school students and leaders can have a more focused Summer Escape together.

That means students will have space for new friendships, quiet moments with God, small group conversations, faithful leaders who open Scripture with them, and time to hear about Jesus in a setting created just for them. To help this happen, we need to keep the cost within reach for families.

Our goal is to raise $10,500 by May 31, roughly 70 gifts of $150, and gifts of any amount will help us reach this goal.

Would you give toward Summer Escape and help a student get to camp?

Campus Life doesn’t stop when school ends.

Heatwave (high school) and Summer Escape (middle school) give students a reset. They step away from daily noise and lean into deeper things. They laugh hard, try new adventures, and build real friendships.

These trips also create space for the Gospel to land. Students hear truth clearly. Many take real steps toward Jesus. Many come home steadier, more hopeful, and more connected.

Youth for Christ has taken students on trips like these for over 40 years. Every year, students come back with memories and relationships that last.

For now, parents can read more details on our website (https://yfcmp.org/trips-and-events/) and make sure students are registered and paid their deposits.

Thank you, Campus Life leaders. Seriously. We see your faithfulness, and we’re grateful.

You show up after long days and still bring joy into the room. You learn names, notice who’s on the edge, and keep inviting students back into community where Jesus feels near. Some nights are loud and fun. Some nights feel heavy. You stay steady through it all.

Thank you for leading small groups, driving vans, bringing snacks, praying with students, and following up mid-week when life gets real. You’re building the kind of relationships where God can work, and students feel the difference.

We’re grateful to serve alongside you.

When a teen finally opens up, they’re taking a risk. The first words you say can either make it safer or shut it down. A simple, steady response can go a long way: “Thank you for telling me.” It tells them you’re not shocked, angry, or disappointed in them for being honest. It tells them they did the right thing by coming to you.

One line to avoid in that moment is, “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” It makes sense that we feel that question, especially when we love them, but it can land like guilt. Many teens need time to find words, sort through fear, or decide if an adult can handle it.

If you want a next step, try this: “Do you want me to listen right now, or help you think about what to do next?” Then take a slow breath and stay present.
