Youth for Christ - Metro Pittsburgh

Youth for Christ - Metro Pittsburgh We're an organization on a mission to bring the message of Jesus to young people across the world.

Every day at thousands of community centers, high schools, middle schools, coffee shops, and local hangouts, YFC staff and volunteers meet with young people who need Jesus. We are urban and suburban, and we are always about the message of Jesus.

School is back, but technically it’s still summer for a few more weeks, so we’re squeezing in one more summer photo dump.

Campus Life summer included road trips, amusement parks, camp days, food, games, lots of time outside, and plenty of chances just to hang out together.

Here are a few of our favorite snapshots from summer 2026. It was a good one!

Happy Labor Day weekend!

New seasons stir up nerves. Teens carry it into classrooms, friend groups, and expectations. Adults carry it into meetings, bills, and the pressure to hold everything together. Anxiety loves to act like urgency is the only option.

Paul gives a different path. Bring it to God. Not once you feel calm, right in the middle of it. Tell Him what you need. Ask clearly and gratefully, not as a performance, but as a way to remember God’s faithfulness in real life.

Then hold onto the promise: God’s peace will guard your heart and mind. Guard means protection, like someone standing watch when your thoughts try to run wild.

Try this today: pause before you react. Breathe. Pray out loud, “God, I need Your peace. Guard my mind.” Let peace take its place.

God used two South Fayette football players to help change a teammate’s story.

Xander and Connor noticed Miles, invited him to Campus Life, and helped him feel at home. That invitation opened the door to friendship, spiritual growth, and a relationship with Christ.

As students across our area head into a new school year, help cover this year in prayer.

From August 31 through September 4, YFCMP partners are invited to spend time each day interceding for students, ministry leaders, and the year ahead.

When you sign up, you can choose a local ministry site to pray for. Each day during Prayer Week, you’ll receive an email with specific prayer requests written by YFCMP staff serving that community.

Together, we’ll ask God to guide our leaders, open doors for meaningful relationships, and help young people know Jesus.

When people ask how Youth For Christ Metro Pittsburgh reaches out to students, we often start here: we build ministry around five essentials that keep us grounded and effective across every ministry site. These Essentials keep us from chasing trends, and they keep us focused on what helps 11-19 year olds meet Jesus and grow into lifelong followers.

Here are the Five Essentials list we live by:

Widespread Prayer – We deliberately engage Christians to intercede on behalf of the ministry site.

Loving Relationships – We consistently pursue lost kids and engage them in life-long relationships with Jesus.

Faithful Bible Teaching – We accurately handle Biblical truth, regularly coaching kids to apply it in their lives.

Collaborative Community Strategy – We intentionally work together with local churches, agencies, and other partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry.

Adults Who Empower – We strategically develop leaders to reach young people from every people group.

If you want to talk about why these are essential, ask a question in the comments. If you want to learn where we live these out across Pittsburgh, message us and we will share more.

One invitation can become the first step in a life with Jesus.

Miles came to South Fayette Campus Life because two football teammates noticed him, made room for him, and invited him in. He found friendship, trusted Christ, and kept growing.

Four years later, he publicly declared his faith through baptism.
