Last week President Huber challenged the youth of our Stake to “hold” tightly to the Iron Rod by reading the Book of Mormon in a 125 day challenge. This challenge also includes the opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to meet each Sunday night at 8:00 with President Huber and Sister Huber, and other leaders, to discuss the prior week’s reading and to begin the new week’s reading together. Our goal is that the youth will gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon, come closer to Jesus Christ, learn to turn to its teachings as they navigate this life, and to learn the value of “holding” tightly to the Iron Rod. It is also a wonderful opportunity to develop stake relationships, and prepare for entering the temple and serving missions.

Please reference, on this post, the reading schedule that will enable the youth to complete the Book of Mormon in 125 days along with a QR code that links them to a GroupMe “2024 Book of Mormon Squad” chat group where testimonies of this wonderful book of scripture are being shared, and updates regarding dates times and locations of the Sunday night meetings. Please encourage your youth to participate in this awesome challenge, however all are invited to read along!

Next weekend is our biannual Stake Conference!

Leadership Session: 4:30pm on Saturday (for all members of stake and ward councils, including presidencies)

Adult Session: 7:00pm on Saturday

General Session: 10:00am on Sunday

All sessions will be at the stake center. The general session on Sunday will also be broadcast to both the red building and Chapel View building.

-The Saturday Evening Adult Session is tonight at 7p. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early and be in your seats.
-The Sunday Leadership session starts at 8am, this is a change from the usual time. Enjoy your extra hour of sleep!
-The General Session will start at 10a on Sunday Morning. All members of the stake are invited to attend.

It's almost here! Don't forget to join us at the Riverwalk Carnival this weekend!
In addition to food, fun, and games we have some fun projects that everyone can participate in to give back to the community.
1. Writing letters/drawing pictures for the residents of three care centers in our area.
2. Tying fleece blankets for the South Jordan Health Center (JustServe project).
3. Sanding and oiling wood cars for Tiny Tim's Foundation for Kids (JustServe project). Our goal is 1500 cars.
