True Story Time Again.
So the Kindred went to the Texas Renaissance Festival back in the day.. It was rainy and muddy and I forget who, but someone in the kindred asked me, can't we ask Sunna to come out? So we all stood together right there at the entrance, just past where all the photographers are, and did a hammer rite, hammer signing, and then an Adoration to Sunna, asking her to "shine forth in all her might." WOW! What a mistake!!
The rain was still drizzling down, but the clouds immediately split, while we were still standing there with our arms up. The sun shone through, the rain stopped and steam began to rise from the mud. Within a couple of hours the ground was dry and cracked, the day was hot, people had to remove layers of clothing. It actually became really hot and we began to feel overheated and dehydrated! Coincidence? I get why you might think so, but you kind of had to be there to see it happen in real time.
Eventually we thanked Sunna profusely, but asked her if she didn't mind reigning it back a bit.
The best part was the reaction of the crowd. Right after we did our little ritual there were a few half-hearted claps from here and there all around us. People had stopped what they were doing to watch us do what they might have thought was some kind of skit or play. Then utter silence descended on the crowd as they realized the clouds were physically parting and the sun was shining down, like we had just requested!! A few of the bolder ones approached us later and asked if we were witches!! haha! NOPE. A few of the more timid hustled away crossing themselves or muttering prayers under their breath.
