By now, we’re used to hearing comparisons between President Trump and King Cyrus. Cyrus was an idol-worshipping king who lived 2,500 years ago, yet Isaiah prophesied that God would use him to restore the Judean exiles and rebuild Jerusalem, which he did (see Isaiah 44-45). In similar ways, evangelical leaders have suggested that Trump, who was hardly a Christian, would be used to help their cause.

But is there another biblical king to whom Trump can also be compared, namely King Jehu?

On December 15, 2018, Joel Pollak, an Orthodox Jew and senior editor for Breitbart.com, made this very comparison. He wrote, “In many ways, Trump is reminiscent of the biblical King Jehu, an outsider who was anointed to rule Israel and rid it of corruption. . . . Jehu also dispatched Ahab’s widow, the wicked Queen Jezebel, who had urged her late husband to persecute the prophets.”

He added, “Jehu continued his aggressive campaign to rid the kingdom of corruption. He ordered the ex*****on of seventy of Ahab’s sons, and used an ingenious ruse to slaughter all the remaining supporters of Baal, luring them to a temple by promising that he would also worship the idol and then ordering his guards to kill them. Though his methods were unconventional, Jehu earned the support of Jehonadab the son of Rechab, widely respected for his morals.”

Trump, then, would be reminiscent of a Jehu-like figure. He was the man who defeated Hillary Clinton, who was a Jezebel-type figure, being a pioneer feminist who stood against godly values.

Interestingly, more than one year before Pollak made these comparisons, Messianic Jewish author Jonathan Cahn made similar comparisons in his book The Paradigm: The Ancient Blueprint That Holds the Mystery of Our Times. But Cahn took them much further.

As summarized in a November, 2018 column, this was Cahn’s application of the ancient biblical texts. First, as in Ahab’s day, America was at a crossroads in the 2016 elections. Had Hillary Clinton been elected, “It would have sealed the Supreme Court for a generation. It would have ended religious liberty.”

Second, “Jehu was not a politician, and Donald Trump was not a politician. Jehu was a fighter. Donald Trump is a fighter. Actually, he fights with everybody!”

As Cahn explained, “Jehu was not a gentleman. Well? Jehu was kind of wild, kind of out of control, and you never knew what he was going to do next. Do I have to say anything? Jehu would come on the national stage suddenly and shake up the status quo, and so, too, with Donald Trump. . . .

“Jehu had not lived a godly life, and neither has Donald Trump. Now this warrior is used, despite himself, for God’s purposes in this moment.”

As for Jehu being “wild, kind of out of control,” Cahn pointed to 2 Kings 9:20. In that text, a watchman reporting on a rider coming to Samaria said that “the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously” (KJV).

Other translations render the last words with: “he drives like a maniac” (NIV; TLV; NRSV); “he drives like a madman” (CSB); he “drives wildly” (NJPSV); or, “he drives recklessly” (NET). Does this sound familiar?

Third, “Jehu the warrior will come head to head against the former First Lady. Then there will come a showdown.” So, too, with Trump and Hillary, whom also likened to a Jezebel-type, pioneer feminist figure.

Cahn sought to buttress his argument with further, detailed parallels, also likening Jehonadab to Pence.

What are we to make of such comparisons?

To be sure, they are nothing more than comparisons. And Hillary Clinton is hardly the same as Jezebel, a woman who actually slaughtered the prophets of Israel.

What does seem clear is this (and this holds true whether you love Trump or loathe him): An alpha male leader like Donald Trump will come into direct conflict with the radical, feminist spirit, the spirit of Jezebel. It cannot be avoided.

In short, the Trump candidacy, followed by the Trump presidency, has brought the worst of radical feminism to the surface.

In that sense, it has caused Jezebel to come out of the shadows and into the forefront.

In that sense, Trump is like Jehu, the man who drove “recklessly,” the leader who drove like a “madman,” like a “maniac.”

Just consider some of these disparaging headlines describing President Trump (with my emphasis in bold):

“DONALD TRUMP IS RECKLESS, ERRATIC AND INCOMPETENT, ACCORDING TO BUSINESS LEADERS AROUND THE WORLD” (Newsweek, June 23, 2017)
“Majority of voters think Trump is reckless, poll says” (Detroit Free Press, October 25, 2017)
“Poll: Majorities think Trump is reckless, profane and sexist” (The Hill, January 28, 2018)
“Trump’s not a liar. He’s a madman.” (Washington Post, May 29, 2018)
“War of words: Trump, visionary or madman?” (The Telegraph, May 25, 2018)
“A Virginia Democrat called Trump a 'narcissistic maniac.' And he's not the liberal in the race!” (CNN; June 5, 2017)
Shades of descriptions of Jehu!

Trump is a hated man, especially among liberal women. To them, he is the ultimate example of a powerful, sexist, abusive male. That’s why, at a massive women’s march immediately after Trump came into office, Madonna openly expressed her desire to blow up the White House.

Later that same year, comedienne Kathy Griffin held up the bloodied likeness of the president’s decapitated head. And month by month, witches have gathered to curse and hex him.

Shades of the spirit of Jezebel!

Just note this headline from December 21, 2018: “Witchcraft moves to the mainstream in America as Christianity declines - and has Trump in its sights.” (Jezebel was also associated with witchcraft and sorcery in the Bible.)

To be sure, there is a lot of female anger towards Trump because of his ugly, sexist past, including both alleged actions and recorded comments.

This is totally understandable, also causing many of these women to ask how any evangelical Christian could vote for him, support him, or work for him.

But the truth be told, some of the female anger towards Trump – really, it is outright rage – is due to the fact that he has become a pro-life champion, one of the more surprising developments in political memory. He is standing for God’s cause, just as Jehu did.

His Supreme Court appointees could threaten Roe v. Wade, which is one of Jezebel’s most carefully guided prizes. And these women will fight and scratch and claw to keep their “right” to abort.

A man like Trump, for better or worse, brings an angry, even hysterical, radical feminist spirit to the surface.

And that is why Jezebel is so enraged. Her agenda is being threatened. She is confronting her Jehu again.

Dear Keleigh,
This is the e-mail copy BELOW of the hard copy delivered by hand to Cedars last evening documenting mortage payments on Philippine real estate at least up to January 2024. At age 80 on September 18, 2024 I am inclined to make more errors in cyberspace producing exhibits of documents than both you and Sara in the prime of life for sure! Sorry about that. Just another compelling reason to consider retirement in a retirement community of the quality of the Cedars!

*QUAKERS (I am sure you know Keleigh, Wing Falls, was the origional name of GF Quaker village. What you may not know is that Abraham Wing our Quaker founder and the DeVols were related. We inter married as Quakers.

Also for the record we share Irish bloud with you Keliegh. That is because Wm DeVol (b. 1829) married Rosetta Eddie. The mother of Rosetta was a Haviland. The Havilands were IRISH. That is where
the name Haviland road, just 1/2 mile North of the Cedars, comes from. In fact the farm of Wm DeVol (b.1829) was on Haviland Road. Uncle George Fox DeVol, MD the first FRIENDS medical missionary called to Asia (China) in 1900 from Warren County was raised on that farm. I am the fifth DeVol FRIENDS medical missionary raised on a farm in Warren County to accept the call of God to Asia (Mindanao Island in the South China Sea, Republic of the Philippines). However, I was raised on the Greene farm at Homer & Everts Ave. It was the farm of my maternal grandfather Lowell Greene. In fact our strawberry patch was where Quaker Road is now @ the corner of Everts Ave and Quaker Road just 3 miles South of The Cedars.

Is it any wonder that finally at the age of 80 I want so very much to follow-up on Sara Lamentac DeVol Johnson, Director of Food and Beverage, Lake George Steam Boat Co, REFERRAL of her C&MA minister mother Vangie and I to yours truly, Keleigh Tyler, Community Manager of Cedars Senior Living Community! This is coming home in grand style to live SIMPLY as Quakers for the rest of our days on earth this side of Heaven!

D. and I made to Pag-ibig from 2019 to present of the ASSUMED property in block 3, lot 7 in Oakwood Subdivision, Panabo City under the name of Carlito Calunsag Cedeno with the Pag-ibig reference # 390001550710. We need to be able to show how much we paid in to date and the balance we still owe to be paid off before the property becomes real estate property in my name.

Keleigh Tyler, Community Manager of the Cedars Senior Living Community, advised us yesterday that the ABOVE requested documentation is needed before she can grant the DeVols approval to move into a designated apartment in the CEDARS. This means I can no longer be a part of your law firm in the capacity of American Forensic Consultant in vivo. Because I reached the ripe old age of 80 in September and Vangie 72 (both in September 2024) we must end our tour of duty as missionaries serving the wonderful Filipino people on Mindanao Island in the South China Sea post haste. Not one of the other five DeVol FRIENDS (Quaker) MEDICAL missionaries reached the age of 80 serving in Asia dating back to 1897, Aunt Isabella DeVol, MD and Uncle George Fax DeVol, MD 1900. However, we will keep the DeVol Quakerage operating in our black 3, lot 7 property operating in absentia.

REASON: Today 9-18-24 is my 80th birthday!

THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO TALK ABOUT TODAY ON MY 80th BIRTHDAY.

I am not proud that I made it to just short of my 80th birthday on the mission field! We won't return as usual in October. But by the grace of God go I!!! The 4 other DOCTOR DeVol FRIENDS (Quaker) missionaries to answer God calling to foreign missions ASIA before yours truly came home earlier or in the case of Uncle George Fox DeVol, MD did not come home at all!!! Uncle George died in China at age 46./////

For the record the first DeVol FRIENDS Medical missionary to accept God's call to missions Asia was Aunt Isabella French DeVol, MD in 1897. She left her home FRIENDS Church in Damascus Ohio at the young age of 27 to sale to China. That before the feminist movement was even conceived of!!!////

What I want to talk about now on my 80th birthday is an example of "the fruit that remains." Charles DeVol Ph. D. published a book by that title: (DeVol, c. e.) "THE FRUIT THAT REMAINS." Charles did his most significant mission work in the Republic of China on Tiawan. For me the most significant work that remains is best illistrated as a SAMPLE in RMCI (Rivera Medical Center Inc) in Panabo City on Mindanao Island in the South China Sea, Republic of the Philippines.

Reason: SAMPLE.

I am So proud of the way Cheryl Derla Tatoy, RN, MA runs the Human Services (HR) Office in RMCI (Rivera Medical Center, Inc.) in Panabo City on Mindanao Island in the South China Sea! I am also so proud because she recently earning her MA in MEDICINE (nursing) and celebrated her graduation!

In my educational history out of 138 students who earned a master's degree in Guidance & Counseling @ the U of Missouri I was one of 3 who were willing to write a thesis to earn an MA instead of an M. Ed! I wrote my thesis as a replication of a Ph. D. dissertation titled " THE PSYCHOLOGY OF RELIGION" by Forest Orr. I published it in the College Student Journal! You all can read it. I found a very strong correlation between "religious orthodoxy" & S**T scores! S**T (School & College Ability Test) measures Academic Aptitude!!! That CHERYL has as a recently royally celebrated in Manila recipient of an MA in medicine (nursing) for certain!!!/////

until 1989 so how would he be able to dine on it?

In this context, the blood is a symbol of purification and consecration. *Consecration: Consecration means to set something or someone apart for a specific purpose, making it holy and dedicated to God. In this case, the blood on the right ear signifies that the person is being set apart for a sacred task or role.
*Priestly consecration: In Leviticus 8, the blood is applied to the right ear of Aaron and his sons, consecrating them as priests. This act sets them apart as mediators between God and the people.
*Purification: In Leviticus 14, the blood is applied to the right ear of the person being cleansed, symbolizing their purification and restoration to the community. If you buy a book in the series THE QUAKER BEHIND THE DREAM (of MLK) written by our very close Quaker friend in Niles MI Brenda Walker Beadenkopf 20% will be donated to our own DeVol Quakerage MISSION on Mindanao Island in the South China Sea, Republic of the Philippines WILLIS! I have been elected to serve on a Republican Committee as a a ward committeeman even! BUT, I some times vote for a Democrat such as Dick Celeste running for governor of OH. I even made 134 phone calls for Governor Celeste. As a QUAKER myself I was very opposed to his opponent James A Rhodes for ordering the National Gard at Kent State to de facto shoot 4 Kent State U students demonstrating against American military involvement in the Vietnam war!
