Darcy Carol Bothell Dec 14, 2024 January 6th 2026
Darcy Carol Bothell, age one, passed away January 6, 2026 after a brief illness at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the beloved daughter of Brian and Miranda (Vest) Bothell, born on December 14, 2024 in Alamosa, Colorado. Darcy was a bright, smiling ray of sunshine who brought such joy to the lives of all family members and friends. She loved all foods, especially salmon, watermelon, and spaghetti and would nod her head if she was asked if it was good! She loved the daily walks with her mom and big brother to see the horses, donkey Jack, and visit the shop where Papa Eric, Daddy Brian, and Uncle Drew spent many days. Darcy spent many ski days with her family and flew in the plane with her Papa Eric. She was a true farm girl who loved riding in the tractor with her daddy and brother Weston.
She is survived by her parents and older brother, Weston, of Center, Colorado, grandparents “Papa” Eric and “Zamma” Suzanne Bothell, Center, Colorado, and “Papa” Rick and “Mormor” Tracy Porter, Smithville, Missouri; uncles David (Elizabeth) Bothell of Monte Vista, Colorado, Drew Vest, Del Norte, Colorado; aunts Julie Bothell (Corey Kelly), San Diego, California, Tara (AJ) Martin of Weston, Missouri, and Amber Porter of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; cousins CJ, Mia, Micah, and Arthur; and was blessed to have great grandparents Jan and Don Roller and Shirley Vest with her still, as well as numerous additional family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Randall Vest and her uncle Tony Porter.
Her family is comforted in knowing that Darcy is now cradled in heavenly arms with her grandpa Randy and a multitude of aunts, uncles, and grandparents, a precious angel watching over them.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at New Hope Church in South Fork, Colorado at 11 am. Brian and Miranda request that loved ones attending the ceremony dress in colors to reflect Darcy’s beautiful personality. It is requested that any donations be sent to Children's Mercy Hospital or Landon’s Legacy Foundation.
