Last year we ended up doing TWO rounds of Canning Hunger because there was such a great need in the area. You guys showed up in a big way to help so many families!

Now we are gearing up for Canning Hunger 2026 across all six campuses, and we are looking ahead for people who want to volunteer with collection. All of the donated non-perishables will be loaded directly onto trucks at each campus as donations arrive. If you want to raise your hand early and get in on the action this fall, let us know! We can't wait to hear how many pounds of food we collect this year to make the biggest impact possible in our communities.

TRIP 1: TOM GREEN, TEXAS
* Focus: Rebuilding and repairing homes damaged by catastrophic flooding.
* Dates: October 25–30, 2026
* Team Size: 5 people
* Age Requirements: 18+ (14–15 with a parent; 16–17 with an approved adult supervisor)
* Accommodations: Lodging in a local church
* Transportation: Plane and van

TRIP 2: BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA
* Focus: Disaster relief and rebuilding for families impacted by Hurricane Helene.
* Dates: November 8-13, 2026
* Team Size: 5 people
* Age Requirements: 18+ (14–15 with a parent; 16–17 with an approved adult supervisor)
* Accommodations: Lodging in a local church

Our staff and volunteers with Community Impact at Christ Community Church hosted our first Neighbor Night for one of our Aurora Campus members in Montgomery, creating an opportunity for them to enjoy great food, build connections, and engage with others in their neighborhood!

The event provided a meaningful opportunity for neighbors to connect with one another—some meeting for the very first time! Our Street Team was also able to engage with residents, build relationships, and share information about the services and resources available through the Aurora Campus.

Overall, Neighbor Night was a great casual opportunity to strengthen community connections and help our CCC member build relationships right in their own neighborhood!

Sign up to be a part of our Disaster Relief Response Team! We have sent dozens of teams domestically to help people rebuild their lives after tornadoes, flooding, hurricanes and more. By filling out the form, you will be informed of teams forming as the need arises.

We had a great time with you, Streamwood! The Good Neighbor Kitchen served hot eats to the community for the Streamwood Celebration Parade right at our church campus, while other staff and volunteers got to mingle and chat with people! The balloons were also a hit! Thanks to everyone who came out to make our community feel welcome! And hello to all the new friends we made today!
