When Jesus called His first disciples, He didn't give them a detailed plan or a guarantee of comfort. He simply said, "Follow Me."

Their response was immediate. They left behind their nets, their routines, and the security of what they knew because they recognized that Jesus was worth more than anything they were leaving behind.

Following Christ still requires that same kind of trust today. It means listening to His voice, obeying His Word, and surrendering whatever competes for our allegiance.

The cost of discipleship is real, but so is the joy of walking with the One who calls us.

What might Jesus be asking you to leave behind so you can follow Him more faithfully?

This week's scripture reminds us that Jesus' authority makes Him impossible to ignore.

In Mark 1:9–28, we see Jesus affirmed by the Father, victorious over temptation, calling ordinary people to follow Him, and teaching with an authority unlike anything the crowds had ever witnessed. Even the unclean spirits recognized who He was and obeyed His command.

The question isn't whether Jesus has authority—the question is how we will respond to it.

Will we follow when He calls? Will we trust His Word over our own understanding? Will we submit our lives to the One who has authority over sin, evil, and every circumstance we face?

Take a few moments this week to read Mark 1:9–28 and consider what it means that Jesus is not merely a teacher or example, but the King who speaks with authority and power.https://www.bible.com/bible/59/MRK.1.9-28.ESV

What does it mean to live a fruitful Christian life?

Many of us know we should grow in our faith, serve others, and reflect Christ—but where does the strength to do that actually come from?

In this week's message from John 15, we explore Jesus' powerful declaration: "I am the true vine." Jesus teaches that He is our only source of life, strength, and spiritual growth. Apart from Him, we can do nothing. But when we abide in Him, He produces fruit in our lives that glorifies God and brings lasting joy.

If you've ever felt spiritually dry, exhausted from striving, or wondered how to grow deeper in your faith, this message is for you.

🎥 Take a few moments to watch this week's sermon (link in Bio) and be encouraged by the reminder that the Christian life isn't about trying harder—it's about staying connected to Christ.

Jesus never calls us to produce fruit on our own.

He calls us to stay connected to the source.

In John 15, Jesus reminds us that He is the true vine and we are the branches. Our strength, growth, joy, and fruitfulness don't come from trying harder—they come from abiding in Him.

As you swipe through, consider: Are you striving in your own strength, or are you remaining connected to Christ?

🍇 The goal isn't simply to do more.
The goal is to abide more deeply in the One who gives life.

We weren’t saved to sit on the sidelines—we were saved to abide in Christ and bear fruit. 🍇

Jesus calls us into partnership with Him, and He never leaves us to do it alone. He provides what we need, strengthens us when we’re weak, and produces in us the fruit of a transformed life.

Love. Joy. Peace. Patience. Kindness. Goodness. Faithfulness. Gentleness. Self-control.

These aren’t qualities we manufacture on our own. They grow as we remain connected to the true source of life—Jesus Christ.

What kind of fruit is God producing in your life today?

Jesus reminds us that true life is found in Him alone.

Just as a branch cannot survive apart from the vine, we cannot thrive spiritually apart from Christ. He is the source of our strength when we are weak, our peace when life is uncertain, and our hope when circumstances are difficult.

By abiding in Him we bear fruit.

Take a few moments today to read John 15:1–11 and reflect on these questions:

• Am I staying connected to Christ throughout my day?
• What fruit is God producing in my life?
• Are there areas where God is calling me to trust Him more deeply?

Jesus' invitation is not merely to believe in Him, but to abide in Him—to remain in His love, find our strength in Him, and experience the joy that comes from walking closely with Him.

Spend some time in this passage today and ask God to help you abide in Him more fully.

Following Jesus means embracing the cross when worldly glory makes more sense.

In this message from Matthew 16, we see Peter struggle with the same tension many of us feel today: choosing between the way that feels sensible and the way Jesus calls us to walk.

Jesus reminds us that discipleship is more than admiration — it is following Him all the way, even through sacrifice, surrender, and trust.

May this message encourage you to see beyond temporary comfort and live with an eternal perspective. ✝️

The way of Jesus often conflicts with what feels safest, easiest, or most logical.

Peter tried to pull Jesus away from the cross because suffering didn’t make sense to him. But Jesus revealed that discipleship isn’t about self-preservation — it’s about following Him fully.

Sometimes the path that looks like loss is actually the path that leads to life.

Swipe through and reflect on what it means to follow Jesus all the way. ✝️

05/20/2026

The way of Jesus has always been the way of the cross.

In a world focused on comfort, success, and immediate results, discipleship calls us to something greater: an eternal perspective.

Sometimes following Christ means losing what the world says matters most. But in God’s kingdom, losing to gain and surrendering to find true life is never a wasted investment.

We are part of something bigger than ourselves—a kingdom-building mission that points others toward true life in Jesus.
