It's never too early for holiday spirit — especially when we have hundreds of boxes of treasures waiting to be sorted.

Starting July 7th, we’re seeking community volunteers to join us Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm in the basement at Faith United Methodist Church in South Burl., 899 Dorset St., to clean, sort, and price donations for our Nov. 14th Holiday Bazaar. Once onsite, follow the signs by the pre-school double doors to our holiday workshop.

Drop in when you're able, stay for as long as you want, come once or a dozen times, no commitment required. We’ll be there every Tuesday night until November. Enjoy the cool basement and the warm welcome. If you have a soft spot for kitschy knick-knacks and get excited by mystery items, you'll fit right in with our dedicated crew of volunteers. It was a lovely Sunday to celebrate our young adults who have reach milestone graduations. We especially celebrated our pianist, Naomi, as she heads off to college this fall, gifting her a "tool box" to help make the transition smoother. And our friend, Shirley, blessed us with a beautiful reading of Psalm 121.

Our souls and stomachs were filled this past Father's Day Sunday when we worshipped together over a delicious brunch for our fathers!

The Lord listens to us in times of trouble and joy.
We call to the Lord in our anxiety and fear.
God will not turn away from us.
God will heal us and restore us.
Let the Lord of life enter into your spirits.
Lord, come to us and heal our brokenness and sorrow.
