OUR VISION:
Our vision is to actively reach out to the needs of our church, our community, and our world through Christian love and hospitality. The congregation of Main Street United Methodist Church has served the mission of Jesus Christ in the South Boston community since 1847. The church has grown from the original Goodman’s Chapel, which was the first church to be established in South Boston.

The present church continues to be a vibrant congregation that seeks to serve the mission of Christ by reaching out in love and concern for our neighbors, our community and our world.

This is where you can learn all about what is going on at this year's Virginia Annual Conference, including a link for the live stream. If you watch the live stream enough you might catch a glimpse of one of the seven people from MSUMC attending the event. Watch especially for Josiah as the youth often wind up on stage at some point and he is a part of the youth delegation!

The Shenandoah River District is excited to welcome the Annual Conference in June. Many volunteers are needed in order to provide the best experience for Annual Conference members. Please consider picking up a volunteer shift or two. Volunteers can sign up HERE.
