Our mission is to encourage religious cooperation and understanding; effect constructive changes in society, and serve as advocates for those seeking help to meet life's basic needs. R MISSION:

Encouraging interreligious cooperation and understanding, we sponsor...
1) Interreligious events -
a - Community Prayer Breakfast - 1st Thursday of May
b - Clergy Gatherings - 2nd Tuesdays for faith leaders
c - Educational Dialogue - 2nd Tuesdays - Spring and Fall
d - Tastes of Thanksgiving - Sunday before Thanksgiving
e - Annual meeting representing all faith traditions

2) Effecting constructive change in society, we collaborate and provide...
a - Space for Human Rights Study Circles
b - Active in community gun buy-back program
c - 2012 Anti-violence Summit at Century Center
d - 2014 In Pursuit of Justice Conference
e - Support CROP Walk for Hunger

3) Serving as advocates for those seeking to meet life's basic needs, we operate the URC Advocacy Center which:
a - Provides emergency funds for low-income families in crisis
b - Provides heating assistance thru Martin's Supermarkets Heat for Homes
c - Assists with emergency rent and other help, from EFS thru United Way
d - Provides short-term case management for support and resources
