The church as often trained people for familiarity with content from the bible without training them for obedience to it -- producing just enough exposure to the real thing that the defenses go up against the full cost of discipleship. The solution is not more information. It's action -- specifically, the concrete costly, faith- requiring act of doing what you have heard.
