I know it has been a while since I have posted something here on this page, and I apologize for that. I have recently been scrolling through Facebook and I have seen some posts and shares that are entertaining, funny, educational and just plain dirty. It saddens my heart that today's society thinks and believes it is OK to post crude and disgusting images and sayings on this social network media. Please, do not get me wrong, I have made plenty of mistakes in the past, and I am not judging anyone. As a Christian we are not to judge someone, however we are to judge the sin. There are plenty of verses of scripture that encourages us and how to avoid this type of material.
Sad to say, there are even some that say they are Christians and still fall into the temptation of this sin. One great thing that there is about the only living God that we serve is that He is forgiving. Just getting immersed into Christ does not give you a free ticket into Heaven. We also need to be obedient to His commands. That also includes doing everything that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father as well. Jesus said, if you love me, then you will keep my commands. If you don't keep my commands, then you do not love me.
By sharing or posting things that are pleasing to God is not keeping His commands. By posting and sharing items that contain sexual explicit content, even if there is not any nudity, you are committing adultery. Jesus said that even if you lust over another woman, you are committing adultery within your heart. This is not my teachings or standards, this is God's standards. His standards are much higher then anyone else on this earth.
If you think that since I am single I am not committing adultery. I am not cheating on anyone. Well, the truth of the matter is that you are. You are cheating on your future spouse. Does that individual deserve this treatment? I would say no and I hope that you will say the same.
Again, one of the greatest things about our God, is that He is all forgiving. He loves us unconditionally. Posting and sharing these items might be funny with your friends and family, however does pleasing your family and friends with this type of material really matter in the end? Your family and friends will not be the ones who judge you in the end, it will be God. So, should you post or share something that is not pleasing to God and take the chance in not entering into Heaven? Or, should you try and do everything that is pleasing to God and enter into Heaven? The choice is yours, not mine.
I say all this in Christ love and I am and will continue to pray for each and everyone of you. May the Lord bless you, keep you safe, give you peace and empower you with His spirit. In Jesus name, Amen.
