We're not looking at the things that are right in front of us, but at the things which are not seen.

How do you look at the things that are not seen?

You look at those things that are not seen by your imagination. And then it says, because all the things that we do see are temporal. They're going to go away anyway. They're going to disappear in a heartbeat. Everything you see and everything that you can touch and feel and taste right now will be gone in a heartbeat.

But everything God has provided will live eternally.

Our hearts need to be connected to what God wants for His purposes. If we want what God wants for the reason God wants it, we can have anything.

See it, attach faith to it, and move.

See As God Sees

Every single one of us, once we’ve accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, have the ability to see as God sees. We have the ability to know what He knows. And by those two things, seeing and knowing as He sees and knows, we can make righteous decisions and we can step forward if we’ll just continue the process, not just knowing what to do, but doing it and living successful lives.

The purpose for successful lives is not necessarily just to make us more comfortable, although that’s exactly what would happen. You would be much more comfortable if you had a little more money, if you had a little more peace of mind, if you had a little bit more love in your family, if you had a little bit more of a little bit more of a little bit more. Things would naturally be better.

But the goal in God’s heart is that people that need Him will look at you and see something about you that they want. Something that is necessary in their lives.

Do you know the biggest key to getting well if you are under attack physically? The biggest key is to see yourself well. To see yourself whole.

If you're going to get on the other side of whatever is stopping you, you have to see yourself in the promise. See yourself wealthy. See yourself sound, solid, whole, filled with life. See your family together in wholeness.

And when you see that, then that image will start to fill in and God will begin to bring towards you what you need.

How Does Faith Become Evident?

Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].—Hebrews 11:1

We know from other scriptures that it is impossible to please God without faith, that we are the just and the just will live by faith. We can go on and on about the importance of faith in our life. But how does faith come? How does faith become something tangible? How does it become evident?

FAITH starts back at something else. It starts at hope. I want to take a look at hope from a lens that I think will start to clarify some things for us. Because if you are missing out, if I am missing out on things of God, it’s because we haven’t had that blessing. Bottom line, the blueprint. HOPE is like a blueprint. If we don’t have that blueprint, we can’t build a building. No architect no architect that’s worth his money, is going to say, we’ll just, you know, wing it.

We need to build on faith the way God intends us to build on faith. And I want you to see this concept, because it’s very clear in the scriptures. What hope is in its most broad explanation is being able to see a picture in your heart of something God has promised.

It is basically using your imagination. It’s using your imagination for godly purposes. We all have an imagination. We wouldn’t have a memory if we didn’t have an imagination. But most of us, as adults, sort of dropped imagination in our imaginary play times and friends when we started to grow up thinking that’s childish. But actually, it’s foolish to drop our imagination.

AGAIN, hope is being able to see a picture in your heart of something God has promised.
