Happy September Logos! We got an easy going month with a fun pool party to end off our summer. We also have a PNP and Bible studies throughout the month.

The false teachers in Colossae were teaching that one needed something else to add onto Christ and His redemptive work in order to achieve some kind of spiritual fullness. “If you don’t obey our man–made rules, then you can’t approach God, and you’re not a legitimate Christian.”

Sometimes, as Christians in the modern age, we are tempted to have spiritual FOMO. “If I don’t have this spiritual gift, or that spiritual experience, then something is missing in my spiritual life.” Paul is reminding us to not focus on shadows, but to look at Christ, who is the substance. As Christians, we have everything we need in Christ and His Word! He is sufficient.

Note! We will be taking a pause on PNP this month, along with Bible study on the 21st and 28th are cancelled for mission prep.
Logos will be joining Rohthem on a mission trip to Guatemala. Please keep our church in prayers for a safe and healthy mission to spread God’s word and love!

God fills us or equips us so that we would know what it means to live in His ways. Not only does He command us, but He concretely equips us by His Spirit.

When we as believers drift from the nearness of God, one cannot help but feel the weight of that distance - the familiar emptiness of a heart that has strayed

In Jeremiah 3:22, the Lord reaches toward our distant hearts with a promise that strips away any excuses

God does not wait for you to fix yourself before you come back to Him. He calls first. The turning comes before the fixing, and the healing belongs to Him.
