🎒📚 HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! ✏️🍎

As we begin another school year, we want our community to know that we’re here to help! ❤️

This is our 3rd year collecting and providing school supplies to families and individuals in need. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our church family, we still have an abundance of supplies available!

Many organizations provide backpacks filled with a set bundle of supplies. While that is wonderful, we do things a little differently. We want you to have what you actually need.

Need 10 folders? We have them!
Need just pens and a ruler? We have those too!
Need a backpack, lunchbox, notebooks, folders, pencils, and everything in between? Of course — we’d love to help! 🎒🖍️📓

And now that school has started, if you realize your child forgot something, or a teacher suddenly requires a specific supply, please don’t hesitate to reach out. If we have it, we’d be happy to share it!

⚾️❤️ What a night at the ballpark! ❤️⚾️

Last night, four local churches came together for a special Church Fellowship Night with the Somerset Patriots! 🙌⚾️

We were so happy to have members from:
⛪ Trinity United Methodist Church of South Amboy
⛪ Grace Lutheran Church - Perth Amboy, NJ
⛪ Messiah Lutheran Church - Parlin
⛪ St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Perth Amboy

It was wonderful to get together, see familiar faces from our ecumenical services, and enjoy time together outside of our churches. There’s something special about building fellowship and friendship beyond the walls of our sanctuaries!

🌧️ And yes… the rain definitely made an appearance! But it didn’t stop us from having a great time. We enjoyed the game, the fellowship, plenty of laughs, and making memories together. ⚾️😊

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so much fun! We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to gather together. 🙏❤️

Our friends at Grace Lutheran Church - Perth Amboy, NJ are hosting the Kiwanis Club of Perth Amboy Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser, and we’d love to help spread the word!

What an incredible first day as we kicked off the 35th year of Community Vacation Bible School! 💦🌵🏞️🛶🐾✝️🌈

From opening prayer and Bible adventures to crafts, games, music, and lots of smiles, it was a wonderful start to an amazing week. Thank you to all of our volunteers, families, and campers for making Day 1 so special! ❤️

The countdown is just about over… ⏳✨

Right now, the room is quiet, the lights are off, and the doors are closed. Tomorrow morning, we’ll open the doors, flip the switch, and welcome everyone to the 35th year of Community Vacation Bible School! 💦🌵🏞️🛶🐾✝️🌈

One of our favorite traditions is seeing the banners from each year of CVBS hanging throughout the room. These banners tell the story of 35 years of faith, fun, friendship, and God’s love, and we’re honored to help preserve this special tradition by storing and transporting them each year to St. Bernadette’s Church.

💥 It’s not too late to join us! Last-minute / Walk-in registrations are still welcome, so come be part of this year’s adventure!

This time next week will be the last day of an unforgettable adventure at Splash Canyon CVBS: God’s Promise on Life’s Wild Ride! 💦🌵🏞️🛶🐾✝️🌈 and you know what that means… WATER DAY! 💦🎉

Steven met up with our friend Elaine Lopez from the First Presbyterian Church of South Amboy earlier this week to gather some of our outdoor supplies that she graciously stores throughout the year. A big thank you to Steven for also transporting these supplies to St. Bernadette’s Church! 🙌 Get ready for a splash-tastic end to an amazing week! ☀️

Our church partnered with three local UMC churches within Middlesex County for a joint confirmation class of 15 this spring, including 4 youth confirmands from Trinity. Our article (written by our own Steven Wegrzyn, & Pastor Sooah from Centenary UMC) was in the Central District - United Methodists of Greater New Jersey Digest and then picked up by United Methodist News (UM News is the official newsgathering agency of the 11.2 million-member United Methodist Church!)

Faced with only two youth of confirmation age at Centenary United Methodist Church in Metuchen, N.J., the Rev. Sooah Na reached out to nearby United Methodist churches to start a joint confirmation class. ✨ Feel Good Friday ✨

Last Sunday was a very special day at Trinity United Methodist Church as we celebrated both Confirmation Sunday and the Sacrament of Baptism. Together, we rejoiced as young people took important steps in their faith journeys—publicly affirming their faith through confirmation and receiving God’s grace through baptism.

Congratulations to our 2026 Confirmands:

Over the past six months, these students participated in a joint confirmation program alongside youth from neighboring United Methodist churches, growing in their faith through learning, fellowship, service, and discipleship. We are incredibly proud of each of them and look forward to seeing how God continues to work in their lives.

We would also like to celebrate and congratulate our newly baptized:

Baptism is a beautiful reminder of God’s grace and love, and we rejoice alongside these young people and their families as they take this important step in their faith journey.

Confirmation and baptism are not the end of the journey—they are the beginning of a deeper walk with Christ. As a church family, we promise to continue supporting, encouraging, and praying for these youth as they grow in faith and service.
